Perryman already traded (and thank god), Taylor out and has to go. So I think holding Smith is a must. Loop Dr Davidson on, best 18 anyway. Hope he's back next week and if not revisit trading out Day / Hollands. Jeeze i really don't want to have to hold that crab Day.

Best 18 does help alot i agree, but i wouldn't say its as easy as just holding regardless of how long hes out for.

• priced at 653K, who just went up 55K, and has a BE of 14
• has no equivalent around his price point, so no-one you could go up to
• is guaranteed Top 6 and could be F1 if he stays fit
• is owned by 70% of the comp (basically the whole comp who isn't a 'ghost ship')
• isn't even relevant, because you can cover his score with someone else, during Best 18
• doesn't even have a serious injury, and could play as soon as next week

I feel like you're dramatizing for the sake of it, lol. It's literally the best player it could have happened to, at the best time, and it's not a forced trade because it's not a serious injury. If he was priced at 900K and you could get Rankine, I might agree. Even then though, you're just burning a trade during a time where you don't get all 22 of your scores anyway.

Even if its 2 weeks, I think it is as simple as just holding tbh.
The moment hes back hes a must get as a value pick and as a likely keeper, as well as being best 18 for 3 weeks anyway.

Was planning on taking the cash in next week to upgrade Day and Finlayson….but have no backup for smith
Not that it really matters because it is best 18. Reid will cover Taylor
