What's with the hate?

A number of people on this board have copped some pretty vicious and condescending replies from him in the past. Also been blocked over really innocuous things - such as giving advice he doesn't agree with.

When he has a bad week he seems to take it out on people, and people have posted some pretty interesting encounters. I've got nothing against him personally, but someone like him in the public eye has more of a responsibility to exercise tolerance with his followers, IMO.

They've been around a long time, and we never hear about him or Cal on this board. Can't imagine that's a coincidence.

Any examples of these vicious and/or condescending replies?

If he can’t handle the interactions on social media he should just stay off it. That said, I’m sure he probably cops a fair bit too that isn’t public.

I know Gunf used to have a real negative opinion of him, but he wasn't the only one. Just the one that comes to mind off the top of my head. Don't have any examples of the replies, but I do have one of him blocking people over nothing:

Others would have to bring their experiences to the table, but I know Gunf was extremely annoyed and for a very long time, over the way he was treated - over something incredibly innocuous.

Fair enough, I've been listening for decades and my impression is that they don't and wouldn't take themselves too seriously. However if one of them was going to, it would be Warnie and I haven't had any interactions online.

Although "getting extremely annoyed for a very long time" over something online/being blocked seems a bit silly.

Edit: I'm not Roy btw, had the "name" first 😂

Have to give nearly everyone another chance, only get two trades. So FOS down to El-Hawli gets me Day up to Sinclair. Kicking the can down the road but makes it…

Sheezel, Short, Roberts, Freijah, SDK, Trainor (Reid, Leake)

Dawson, Rozee, Sinclair, Callaghan, Oliver, NOD, Ashcroft, Lindsay (Campo, El-H)

X, Gawn (Boyd)

Macrae, Smith, JHF, Daniel, Sanders, Hall (Davidson, Stone)

Murphy Reid as Utility.

Will miss out on Clohesy and Knevitt, or getting rid of JHF or SDK, but can’t see a better option.

I was wondering why you didn't support Carlton, haha. Thought you were the real 'Roy', but that makes more sense.

I'm sorry, but it's so fitting that this idiot not only screwed himself by trading out Smith...but then traded in a guy who got subbed, and scored 10 points more than his bench option...and now he doesn't have Smith.

Genius.

Sums up fantasy.
I bet he wasn't the only one.
And if Smith misses more games, it'll happen again too.
I was happy with the Davidson 60 and it was sitting there all weekend so knew what I'd get.

If people could have one of these mids from next week who would you pick - Tom Green, Daicos, Brayshaw and Serong? The target influences my trade this week

If it's Tom Green I trade Day to him this week (other trade is Sinclair) then reassess Sam Taylor options next week.

If it's one of the other mids I get one of the 600k guys going up in price to hold D5 for a few weeks - Bowey, SDK, Freijah which allows enough $ for a 1mil mid next week

Interesting. You have a more expensive ruck than me for r2 and seem to have one extra premium in your mids.
I’m interested…
Where are you ranked and how much left itb?

Prior and Reid playing means I will hold onto them for another week.

So potential outs are still Taranto, Day, H.Garcia and FOS. I will probably hold onto Garcia as I reckon he is in line for a full game and some midfield clock this week. One of my trade in's has to be a defender for structural reasons.

One of my big decisions appears to be whether to pay up for someone like Sinclair or save near 200,000 going Farrell instead.

Then the second one will be whether FOS to NOD/Knevitt or Taranto to Dawson for the second trade.

I think Green is an awesome target but I would wait til next week just due to the fact that he’s got hawks this week. Last year Nash ran with him and kept him quiet so I assume they will repeat that

That's a good point. Didn't think of that. Cheers. That makes all of those 1 mil mid options not appealing this week then as the Freo guys have big BE's and Daicos bye

Coin flip between Green and Daicos for me. Green has the better run but Daicos has already bottomed out.

Wow...I didn't realize I could do this:

I would rather Dunkley, but I'm just short of that. Merrett has his bye the following week, but I have a chance to go from my only Round 4 bye player to another one who looks a lock to be a keeper and a Top 8 mid again.

Tempting...

Yeah I don’t see any appeal in the big guys yet! I’m targeting Tom green for next week!
Think the most value this week presents in the backline or even jumping on ranks in the fwd line as he should get a good score and make his BE lower as of next week

Yeah I want Daicos ultimately.

He should do well vs Carlton the game after the bye. Bit worried next game for Jordon but went and looked at last year. One game on the SCG Daicos scored 71 but the other he scored 123 on the MCG. Jordon played both.

Can't remember if he got tagged twice. You would think Daicos can burn off Jordon at Adelaide oval. I guess I can make the Green vs Daicos decision next week

Are you walking right into a Drew tag though?

That's exactly my concern. With that said, he's scored really well against the power the last 3 years, so who knows.

135, 114, 120, 103, 86

Average of 112

I also have him for the season then, while others are scrambling to get in rookies and other trade in options. Will always be a Top 8 option, even if he's M8.

That’s an upgrade too be sure

I reckon Lashcroft is an upgrade on Sanders too, given he'll get forward status in Round 6...so I'm actually struggling to see the downside - even if Merrett gives me a 60 this weekend. I likely won't get anymore from Day, so might as well roll the dice and lock in an M2 keeper and a possible F6 in as well.

How likely is a 50-55 percent cbas guy to go 105?
I know players like rozee are doing it, Dawson (but scores everywhere)
Because for me, Powell ticks the boxes with juniors numbers etc but with a sub 60 percent cbas average this year I assume. Maybe he's only a 95-100? Which is decent still

If he lined up at half back when not doing cbas I'd be all over it
