Mmm I thought that was the case. If you take the FA's out, it would be a 77 which isn't bad. But his BE is astronomical now, and his role is shit. Didn't trust him all pre-season, and think I might jump off now. Problem is - to who?

To make my trade scenario abit easier.

Going Garcia > Clohesy/Hall for both trades, would you go,

Perryman > Rankine (means i field Prior and loop Reid and Trainor with Roberts)
or
Perryman > Farrell (means i field Prior and Davidson)

You can get rid of 'field Prior' because it's the same in both scenarios.

I'd go Rankine. Feel like he has more chance of being a keeper than Farrel. Also gives you the double chance at a score in best 18. Trainor was poor this week, but he could put up a decent score against the Saints. Davidson has been good but looks to be a 50/60s guy and unlikely to count in B18.

Happy i jumped on Knevitt last week.

THis week I'm looking at: -

Out: Day, Sanders
In: B.Smith, Rankine

I missed the Bailey Smith train in Round 1. I had traded Day to him this week but with the late out I reversed the trade and brought in Knevitt, so happy with that. I can now jump on Smith while getting rid of Day (who still made me cash) and I make a bunch of cash with the move.

I can do Sanders down to Dewar and Campo up to Dawson.

Or could go Garcia down to Dewar and get a value guy like Soligo in.

As much as it hurts to have picked Brayshaw over Dawson, I'm thinking I might just double down and open myself up for more suffering.

Id probably upgrade Day or Taranto to whoever you want and then do a rookie fixup.

JHF BE at 116 isn't terrible, and I can make my trades without trading him, so gonna just go the easy option and get in the rooks I need. Have enough to get Knevitt instead of Lashcroft, but will see what it looks like when teams drop.

Hide behind best 18 again and bank the cash for Garcia to Rankine next week.

Could do it the other way around but I feel like NWM against Richmond is more likely to hurt points wise than Rankine. If Rankine tonnes up it’s +20k which isn’t the end of the world.

On paper would leave my 4 ‘worst’ this week as Trainor (Roberts cover), Garcia, Davidson and one of the mid rookies

For me... JHF to someone. Who? That's my biggest question this week...

The other point I note is that you had 5 non scoring players this week. Might get Smith and Stone back, but will lose Roberts. Can't afford to have too many players not either scoring are making money at this early stage...

Day - Knevitt
Prior - Sinclair (or FOS - Sinclair if you can afford it)

Gives you a 5th good player in defence (will be very handy when we're back to best 22, can't be relying on the DEF rookies) and resets your cash gen via Knevitt.

He's had two very hard match ups in Carlton and Port. I'd be looking to hold (just my view) as he's someone I'd be happy to have on field from Round 5 onwards compared to some others, and you can upgrade him once you've got all your lower scorers off field.

Think he's a 90-95 avg. this year which is roughly what he's priced at - don't think he's suddenly turned into a sub-90s guy overnight.

Assuming JHF is the #1 trade out priority. Who is another forward to replace him with? Rankine?

Honestly I don’t think so
Rankine is probably the only one but there’s no one else really screaming out to be picked in the forward line and I believe JHF should come good

Feels a bit sideways, but Dawson is just an absolute must-have. I'm also considering Day -> Clohesy, Leake -> Sinn which would get Trainor off D6.

Fellas need some help please.
Currently have Finlayson on my bench but think I need to keep him for another week - Garcia will lose cash so is a bigger priority to trade.
Kept 400k itb to do Finlayson to Ranks and Day to Callaghan this week but now have to get Lindsay in - still has a negative BE and need to get FOS off the field.

Dunks has a DREEEEAM run coming up but presents 0 value, however he will obviously be in my side until the end of the year unless injuries etc. if I trade Day to him and Garcia to Lindsay it leaves only 100k itb meaning, if I get Bice in next week I most probably won’t be able to afford Finlayson > Ranks and will have to get a rookie (unless Rachelle has another good game, could be an option)

Or

Save cash, trade Day to Callaghan (or any other player someone can recommend under 1 mill or just above) will a low BE and also has a nice run after the hawks game, other trade still Garcia is Lindsay. Gives me cash to definitely be able to upgrade Finlayson to Ranks next week and get Bice in from Hastie.

My big question, is it too late for Knevitt and NOD? Thinking Day and Hollands to those two. Keep the cash and get Perryman to Whit next week.

My only concern is both Knevitt and NOD could put out a 50 next week and cash stops.
