Not worried by a Mark O'Connor tag? Usually gets the job when fit.

Also, weather not looking great for Saturday. View attachment 2260058
I don't think I'm too worried about it - has O'Connor done many tagging jobs the last year or so? Feel like Geelong have stepped away from that a bit, but could be wrong.

Macrae, Windhager, Steele, even bloody Zak Jones went 110+ against them last week. Locking Choccy in for 120 (before his 150 v Richmond) 🔒

I'm going Day > Dawson this week because I already have Dunkley.

I am comfortable skipping the Powell/Callaghan to go straight to Dawson as the bye structure works best for my team and I just feel that Callaghan isn't a great fantasy player and Powell had some real bad games last year due to changing role.

If I choose the premo I won't regret it as much if they go badly than me choosing the 850-900k player and the premo scoring high.
Thanks for the reply mate. Very true.
Powell just worries me, not that keen on Callaghan only his breakeven.

Dunks just is so safe and seems like a no brainer with his run, but I’ll cry if he disappoints haha

Only gives me 100k for next week which means I’ll most probably only be able to afford Rachelle from Finlayson which I’m not super keen on

Oh dear so bloody hard
Keen on Callaghan, also keen on Powell
Keen on Dunks with his role and will keep him for the rest of the year
Also keen on Neale because of the run but is #1 tag target
Who to get grrrr

Or just get Knevitt and save about 800k cash hahaha
As i mentioned before Neale doesn't have a heap more legitimate tag risks other than Windy in the next two months so he's right to pick now I reckon.

If I was able to I'd happy go Dunks, but it would mean taking Day to Knevitt to get to him

If I get Choccy I could do a combo of him and Richards in and Crippa/Bray and Day out., Treloar reported to miss a further month so he's set in that rotation for a while longer.

He tagged Bray in R1, but he still managed a 95. He's definitely not in the Jordon, Bedford, Windy tier of tagger

Priority OUTS this week are (in no order);

Garcia
Day
FOS

Plenty of cash to upgrade Day to anyone, but would a downgrade to Knevitt be a better option to keep the cash flowing? Would give me a warchest (880k) to work with thereafter.

I'm in the same spot. I have 597k cash and can do 2 upgrades. Now looking at it, I'm actually preferring 1 Perryman upgrade and the other trade getting Kneavitt for FOS or Campo to keep cash flowing. My value is at 19.27m but with FOS, Leake and Campo rookies are starting to drop off. Kako too and Stone going slow.

Kneavitt is a very interesting option right now. He has 2 borderline premo scores. His TOG % went up on the weekend and his BE is very low. He has cash to make.

He looks a perfect stepping stone as by the time best 18 is over he is probably 650k-700k and and an easy upgrade. If he keeps scoring like this you could leave him on field and upgrade elsewehre

He went to HB in the Sydney game at the death while Zorko was shifted to the wing he’s just getting a lot of chip chip I think but I think he’s still wing
I think lions are rotating wingers and half back

Answerth Berry Fletcher zorko all spent time In those roles

Heat map for both games looks on the defensive side. Getting touches a long way back in both games.
If it was a more secure role I’d consider him.

I brought him last year when he was getting inside mid time, lasted little time before he was back on a wing and stagnating scoring

Any chance that Garcia isn't the sub this week?

If so, he has a potentially good matchup against Richmond

Saints have lost Stocker and H.Clark out of the middle as well, which could create opportunity and mid clock.
B/E of 49 so he's not going to bleed a tonne of cash if he's poor again, he's just not going to make a lot is all.

I think you might be able to hold.

I think Neale is a better op than Powell or Callaghan if you’re going cheaper, but what do I know!

Could you go Finalyson > Clohesy/Dewar and then upgrade another forward next week?

Right, someone tell me I’m crazy.
Thinking Day to Knevitt
Saves me 681k
Next week that allows me to upgrwde
SDK > NWM
and
Finlayson > Rankine

Thoughts? I’ll have to wait a week on Bice but I’m keen on it

I’m holding personally, the options around him aren’t spectacular. Probably won’t be sub two weeks in a row you’d think

Having both him and Hall is handy as a fallback if either is sub

Dewar is probably the only one that’s worth a punt on

I can yeah, but I am really playing the BE game and I believe Finlayson may get recalled with Luko out and could make a tiny bit more cash (who knows). I think Day will lose money and the only reason I got him was for the cash gen, I wasn’t keen from the start.

Think I’m gonna hold Finlayson til next week tbh. It’s so hard haha

I could do Perryman and Day to Farrell and Dawson, but would mean completely fading Lashcroft and Lindsay. Which maybe I do but just feels a bit short termist.

Agree with what FlowersByIrene said earlier. Think you need both Lashcroft and Lindsay this year from a cash gen perspective. Or at least one of them. Build team value now when you can get the most cash gen will make it so much easier later on.

One thing that strengthens the Neale in argument, is that he had a rough start last year but from R10 to the end of the season he basically tonned up highly most games and the two he scored lowest in were the Sydney teams where he was both tagged

I think a lot of people are overstating how much cash gen we need this season. We have 3 super cheap (potential) top 6 forwards already in our teams in Macrae, Smith and Daniel. If you have a decent amount of those cheap midfielders that are already making money (NOD, Knevitt, Lalor, Lindsay, Ashcroft) then you are already pretty much set up for the season. Definitely don't need every rookie cash gen option.

With how bad the defence options are right now I actually think it's best to upgrade early there in preparation for best 22 in R5. Do not want to rely on a Prior/Reid/Trainor at that D6 spot. And with SDK and Freijah already putting up 70 scores (decent but meh scoring) I would really only want one of those guys in my team still by round 5. Forwards and midfield is looking pretty decent for most teams already with the value there, so defence is where we should be upgrading.

What are people's thoughts on bringing Neale in? Priced at 93-ish after his 37 in Rnd 1, has averaged 94+ for the last ten years and should be about 10 points unders. Geelong and Richmond next two, and a good run all the way through to the byes less a likely Windhager tag in Round 7.

Currently going:
Day > Neale
Campo/FOS > Clohesy

Would leave me with $150k-ish on the bench to set me up for a Sanders upgrade next week
I'm finding the cash to get to Dunkley, but I acknowledge that's because I'm too much of a coward to go Neale (because I've never liked him in the past as a consistent Top 8 mid). I think you're the type of player who would do it though and it will likely come off. I suspect it's the same sort of move Selby would make also, and maybe some of those Englishmen who just look at the numbers and aren't soured by Neale's history of averaging high 90's like I am.
