We are due for 2 QLD games so will be shocked if don't play both Suns/Lions away, although Darwin always a possibility with the Suns.

Wouldn’t mind doubling up against Lions in Brisbane, but only because our QLD fans have been starved in the last few years.

Aside from that though for fixture integrity, the only double ups from gather round should be for the 2 teams that play the Adelaide clubs.

Predictably missed a Guernsey for Opening Round.

Absolutely incredible and yet completely unsurprising that the absolute vast majority of fans hate the ****ing concept, but they're plowing ahead with it anyway...

With the format being QLD + NSW teams matched up against Victorian teams, it should come as no surprise to anyone that after 2 years of Opening Round, Collingwood will have had 2 years of playing in Opening Round, while Saints, North and Bulldogs have been overlooked entirely.

Anybody could have predicted this. There is no fixture integrity

This shit was made official this morning.

At the very least, I hope the AFL have fixtured a combination of those clubs to all play each other in round 1. We got screwed last year, if we cop another of these clubs in round 1, I might lose my mind.

Full fixture released this week, so we’ll find out soon enough just how badly Dillon & co have ****ed it up.

Hawks/Bombers is confirmed for the round 1 game on Friday thr 14th, so that is a start at least. Would just need Cats/Pies, Lions/Suns and Giants/Swans to make it at least somewhat balanced compared to last year.

Two things I am hoping for in Round One.

To not play the Demons.

And to not play a team who played in Round Zero who have already got match minutes in their legs.

I still think the whole Round Zero and extra bye things is BS. They should just split the round in half. Have the northern teams play their opponents in the opening weekend, and the rest the weekend after. Negates the double bye advantage.

Overdue to play both Adelaide teams IN Melbourne, and Brisbane up there. So hoping we can get all of those.

And Gather Round:

GATHER ROUND
Apr 10:
Adelaide v Geelong, AO
Apr 11: Collingwood v Sydney, AO
Apr 12: North Melbourne v Gold Coast (Barossa); Carlton v West Coast AO; Western Bulldogs v Brisbane, Norwood; Melbourne v Essendon, AO
Apr 13: Richmond v Fremantle, Barossa; St Kilda vs GWS, Norwood; Port Adelaide v Hawthorn, AO

Literally, what have Melbourne and Essendon done to deserve Saturday night prime time?
