Fixture 2025 Fixture

Do people actually still watch games on free to air? Only game I will ever watch on Channel 7 is the Grand Final, as I have no choice. The quality of the broadcast is horrendous, it is barely HD. Kayo shits on FTA and costs fk all.
I can afford $25 month but I acknowledge it's a big luxury that I can choose to do that.
If you're in the UK and you want to watch your soccer team, you'll need subscription across multiple sports channels and it will cost several thousand dollars per year. Kayo won't always be $25. This is the thin end of the wedge and it's only going to get worse.
But at least it keeps Gil or whatever dickhead runs it now in RM Williams

Only 1 MCG game seems pretty unfair

Most overrated thing in any fixture.

We haven't played a final at the MCG in 10 years and haven't played a grand final in 17 years.

Also, from a win/loss perspective, more Marvel games and less MCG games probably helps us.

So, we do the AFLs ground work in China. We keep the donut in charge and run a threadbare austerity coaching panel and pay our debts. And we get given shit timeslots (the incredibly hard draw is icing on top)

Can we just go back to being an unsociable club everyone else hates and embrace us against the world again.

Woohoo!

Port Adelaide chief executive Matthew Richardson says the club’s members, fans and commercial partners should all be looking forward to 2025.

“We are looking forward to another fantastic year of AFL football,” Mr Richardson said.

Pretty sure i read all the same pants pissing last year when the fixture was released and we were also ranked the second hardest fixture. And then the season ended and then suddenly they said our fixture was easy and that's why we finished 2nd.

How have we not figured out by now that it's not what happens rounds 1-24 that's the issue, we will probably still make finals, even top 4 but **** it up in September.

The WooHoo Co. and Matthew Richardson present: Port Adelaide's Exciting 2025! Will we finish second? Will we finish 14th? NOBODY knows! THAT'S what makes it so EXCITING!!11!!11 Who will cry this week?!

No one will notice.

Just like in 2018 when they didn't have a home ground for the first half of the season because of the Commonwealth Games.

They played home games in Cairns, Perth, Brisbane and Shanghai but hardly anyone had idea about how disadvantaged they were that year.

2024 fixture, I split it between first 15 rounds when schedule was fixed in late 2023 and then announcement of rest of fixture during 2024 season.

Home Night games
Rd 1 to 15 5 games
Rd 16 to 24 3 games inc home showdown

Away Night games
Rd 1 to 15 2 games inc away showdown
Rd 16 to 24 2 games

I know the Suns play home games up in Darwin but they have a gap of 61 days between home games on the Gold Coast.
Where do you get 61 days from?? You aren't including dates after Rd 15 when they might have by accident put the away team first?

According to the AFL website the longest breaks are

Opening Rd at home, then Rd1 away, Rd2 bye, Rd 3 away, Rd 4 at home, so that's 8th March to 5th April, that's 28 days.

Rd 5 Gather round in SA, Rd 6 Richmond away.

Home Rd 7, then Rd 8 away to Brisbane, Rd 9 and 10 in Darwin "home" games, Rd 11 away Rd 12 home v Freo.

Rd 7 home game is on 27 April, Rd 12 home game is on 31 May - that's 34 days.

Typical Fox Footy article.

Places Port as the second hardest draw but the article ignores any discussion of us in its analysis - focussing instead on Collingwood and Brisbane when discussing which club are 'losers' from the 2025 draw.

We need a new CEO urgently and one with commercial nous. Richardson has zero profile and gets bent over far too easily in AFL House (including by their media partners) and it's biting us hard off field.

Everyone knows one of our prime financial sponsors is some financial strife in relation to the Whyalla plant and this draw destroys any chance of lining up other major sponsors anytime soon.
