I'm getting in before TheInjuryFactory provides a reminding nudge and kicking off the 2025 Fremantle Buddy Draft.

The Buddy Draft is an opportunity to adopt a player from the 2025 squad and become their biggest fan on here (and elsewhere if you like, idk). Some people prefer to be superstars by association and choose the biggest names and highest performers in the team, while others like to root for the underdog and advocate for those considered on the fringes. Underperformers. Scapegoats even. There's no right or wrong selections, it's whoever you would like spend a season being in the corner of.

We'll run it as per, where I ask that whoever wishes to participate in the Draft rely in this thread with a list of five (5) players that they would like to adopt as their official Buddy. The first person on your list is the one you want the most, all the way to the player you want the fifth most. The order in which the replies hit this thread will determine the number you will receive, which will then be plugged into a random number generator and thus the Draft order will be obtained. I will then use this Draft order to allocate Buddies based on the lists provided.

The Draft will take place on Wednesday the 29th of January, so please reply with your lists of preferred Buddies by then. If you miss the Draft but still want a Buddy, then it will be a case of first come first served for any remaining unbuddied players. And should the number of people wanting Buddies exceed the number of players before the Draft date then I will allow two (2) Buddies per player.
