JammoMonty to confirm the "big name" credentials of that.

So between them, North and Saints have:

Logue
B.Crouch
Polec

The big Vic clubs have:

All the good players
The Saints did get a washed up Dan Hannebery and FIGJAM Liam Henry onto their list.

Tbf though those two probably just show they were desperate.

Brad Hill not so much but the money (by reports) and trade price (Serong lol) was a bit much.

This is the way. When the cap squeeze comes, we need to get in the ear of our fringe player managers to target opportunity at the minows to shake loose some decent Capital. We can then trade it for cap space.

Brad Hill is a good example. Was funny to hear him dance around it on Dyl and friends

With there being 4 big clubs plus Geelong for the surfers and Hawthorn with 20% of the last 50 AFL Premierships there is bound to be one of them offering close enough to the money offered by the Dogs/Saints/North/Melb to justify taking a bit less for a greater chance of success / post career opportunity for each individual player (depending on their respective needs at the time).

With us and the SA clubs it's a bit different obviously.

Who are the big 4 these days:
Essendon, Carlton, Collingwood, Richmond?

I reckon players are going to give up on Essendon soon.....if they haven't already. For some reason the Bulldogs always manage to get good players in the door.

No doubt. I think a bit less is fine.

But given the reports around North (especially) and Saints for the last decade or so, I simply don't believe that quality players haven't left significant cash on the table by not playing for those two.

I think they all fudge, north are the worst, anyone that believes that rabble has 50k is deluded
What I always find pathetic is those clubs only ever get above 25,000 in the ground against Victorian sides.

Imagine what people would say about us if we only got that against West Coast.

Been that 4 for a long time. Dons have been poor for so long now that the damage will be permanent if the don't get back in GF contention this cycle. There are now people who were born since they have won a final who have children themselves. If they're still not winning when the next generation hit the period when allegiances start to solidify (say 6/7/8 years old), they'll never get them back.
