Planning on buying an AFLW membership when that opportunity comes around, but as for the men’s team? **** no.

That would already include 8,000 AO members as we continue the farce that - they are like the old Footy Park Category 1 members and they get access to our home games (plus the crows' home games) so we need to have an apple for apples comparison - a dozen years on.

Edit at least in 2013 we got $138 from the SANFL, for every Category 1 adult member, about $90 for every concession member and about $20 for every junior member. The AO deal in 2014 and then post the 2015-17 seasons first review, we get $0 per member from the SMA.

Because to placate the SANFL, the AFL said at the end of the year you can allocate the 8,000 between the clubs but you can't double count them like at Footy Park, as you aren't paying the same amount as the AFL pays clubs for AFL Membership club support.

In 2014 the SANFL paid the clubs $0. After the 2015 review that covered 2015-17 seasons, the adult membership went up $100 and the 2 clubs split the $100, then from 2018 the 2 clubs got $NIL from the SMA, but they got more corporate inventory to sell.

I think it's reasonable to choose to support the AFLW team and not the AFLM team on principle

However it ultimately doesn't matter because the number is completely made up anyway. We'll end up with another record membership no doubt.
