Dallas just keeps giving.
Hard to picture who they hire. Needs to be someone who wants nothing to do with personnel decisions.
So .....rule out every single big name, find someone with very low self esteem just happy for the opportunity.

Bit of a dick move by Jones and cowboys blocking him from interviewing for jobs last week then basically cutting him on Monday morning.

Agreed...I guess he is lucky that most of the HC jobs are still open and I doubt he would have been considered for New England.

What could the bigger dick move is Belichick turning his back on his college gig before it really started. Would have outdone his Jets tenure.

So basically that leaves you and I.

Having said the above, tell me the Dallas job doesn't scream Matt Eberflus. 😀

Neon sort of fits the bill regards personnel decisions...well with the exception of 2 players.

Ego dynamics will be the best soap opera in the NFL.

I want personnel control, even I know not to trade a 4th round pick for Jonathan Mingo or Trey Lance.

I'll coach, you manage...the modern day Shanalynch.

I'll get AmericanCrow as OC. We are running the ball baby.

Happy to hire Crow, but I'd rather have him as Paul Depodesta's apprentice in the analytics department.

Jatz ...given our comments regarding NY and Dallas we would be living in a very progressive world if Sanders ended up steering the Cowboys.

From my perspective it would make great theater...from a follower of a divisional rival, would you be worried?

Dallas loves a self inflicted wound

They waited too long to sign CeeDee and Adam last offseason and ended up having to pay extra, and now they wait too long to fire McCarthy and so miss out on the interview window with some of the hottest candidates (and have seen one already hired) 😂

Would certainly be interesting.

Personally think it would end in tears but I'm absolutely here for that so I hope it happens haha.

I don't really see Prime coaching anywhere his son doesn't end up - I don't think that's Dallas so I'm not convinced this happens.

Interested to see Dallas as the number 1 opening.

They're further along than some of the other teams, however, two major points for me:

  1. Jerry Jones - first and foremost, he's the biggest problem. Doesn't matter what ideas you come in with, you're still dealing with that dinosaur
  2. Dak's contract - feels a bit like a big noose around the salary cap. You'd want to be confident your system would all of a sudden allow him to succeed in playoffs.
Just because they've got the greatest exposure, doesn't mean it's a great landing spot (imo).
