The betting markets are extremely volatile when it comes to coaches. If they were true, Jim Harbaugh would have been Raiders HC years ago (multiple times!)

I wouldn't put anything into the betting odds for any HC candidate in any market at this point. We are at the peak of lying season.

Cant remember Harbaugh ever being this short with the Raiders at all. Please feel free to show me im wrong though. The shortest I can find him was in January 19th 2022 at +175 ($2.75 Australian)




At this exact time pretty much to the day last year Harbaugh was -150 ($1.67 Aus) to coach the Chargers. Johnson is now much shorter than that at -250 ($1.40 Aus) with the Bears.

Was a heavy favourite back in 2014 when he got fired from San Francisco before joining Michigan, might have even been pretty short in 2011 as well before they hired Hue Jackson.

I just don't buy any coach betting markets in general though - if you look at multiple sportsbooks, each one quite often has a very different set of odds for each candidate in the same market. It's far from an exact science.
