Just a reminder that since July 1st 2024 Carlton have won 2 games (against West Coast and North).
And in their last 2 games have been :
- run over by an unbackable Richmond team
- responsible for possibly the worst half of finals football in VFL/AFL history

I must admit I was tempted to pay those flogs a visit last night after how they carried on in here last week , but we're better than that (mostly) lol

Wonderful stat. Although Richmond's first half against Port in the 2014 elimination final probably beats it. That's another one that we should always remember.
Aussie rules football is the greatesat game on the planet, but I can't abide this mockery of a team that went out and tried it's hardest against a less talented and less experienced team, yet still lost. It's shattering to see our own supporters bathing in the misery of such a respected AFL force in one of it's darkest hours. It is un Australian. Come on guys, show a little respect.

It still grinds a bit that we only had to score one more point to boot them out of the finals again last year.
I only just heard the grab of Yze where he said they'd review last night's game honestly and they lost on expected score.
My god, what an absolute contrast to the way Fly would handle last night. Fly would be all about enjoying it as a deep win.
Yze on the other hand... clearly hasn't washed the Melbourne FC off himself

He did go on to say we'll enjoy the win tonight and that you cant praise them in the losses without finding the faults in the wins also. As much as I detest Essendon, Hawthorn are very close in my level of disdain, so I'm a bit ambivalent.

I actually want Bombers to beat Hawks too. They are now in my top 3 despised clubs along with Blues (of course) & Dees.

Of course, one reason for our hatred is how successful they've been since their first flag in 1961.
I'd like them to fade back into insignificance like St Kilda.
