It is funny reading the takes saying he only gets talked up because of his name. Because it’s the exact same reason why people dump on him, they want to see him fail just because of who he is.

Not just the name is why he is overated and will bust.

The talent just isn’t there for a top draft pick. Subpar arm strength can’t make the sideline throws, some of the worse pocket awareness you will ever see (reason why he led nation in sacked taken in 2023) , shows poor leadership qualities nothing is ever his fault and throws teammates under the bus constantly, is just a pocket passer not very athletic.
The question is what qualities do you think he has that will make him succeed in the nfl ?

Brian Callahan (Titans) made the Burrow comp

I don’t see it myself other than pocket passer nothing in common.
Burrow has cannon compared to shedeur, can avoid a sack if needed, can make all the throws, winner in college, played against top tier competition not unlike sanders.

I think the Brady/Burrow comp is to do with Sanders' perceived coolness/calm in the pocket, not fazed by pressure etc

Theres something there. Not all players are ready-made in college. It's a stepping stone.

His 202 yard passing 2 td 2 int 5 sacks performance in biggest game of his college career against a decent byu in bowl game says opposite. When they needed plays he didn’t get them and game was over by half time. Colorado didn’t score until byu had 27pts on the board and has half way thru the 3rd quarter.

I feel like the tweet is a little bit misleading. Without context it makes it seem like Callahan is likening Sanders to Burrow in quality, but in the article itself he's just saying they're stylistically similar players:

"People had questions about Burrow's arm strength in general coming out," Callahan said. "One of the things that makes Joe so unique, and I think you can probably put Shedeur in the same conversation. ... They anticipate when they throw it, they have the timing and accuracy on top of it. That makes up for the arm strength.

"Those things are how you make up for maybe not having the biggest arm. If you're throwing on time and putting a ball when and where you're supposed to go, you're not going to have too many problems."
And yes, they are stylistically somewhat similar, relying on timing and accuracy rather than arm strength. But, Burrow could always make many more types of throws than Sanders has demonstrated consistently. Callahan could still think they're miles apart in terms of actual development and ability to progress.

I’d dump on anyone who says I’m only playing for a handful of selected teams I will choose.
That entitlement deserves to be crushed

Shadeur recently had a go at his dad saying he calls and texts him constantly about the draft and he tells him, time to let be my own man and make my own decisions. On the Browns drafting him, he personally said he'd be okay with it (even if he hopes not). Tho he did also say something like, I'll take it as it comes, i trust that God will send me to the right team i meant to be on. Can be perceived both ways tho

Possibly more a Deion thing but yes

I suspect it’d be more of a Deion thing and a fun media narrative. And likely very different behind closed doors. Gotta talk about something until April though.

I don’t have an opinion on him either way. Only seen a handful of college games this year.

But if the professionals think he might be alright, I’d be fine taking him at #2. Nothing matters at all except QB - especially in the AFC. Just keep swinging until you hit.

Its going to be funny when Browns get pick 1 and Arch stays another year.
He wont even declare till 2027, thats three drafts away. No way imo any QB needy team skips this year in the hope of any QB another two years away at the earliest

Just heard old mate on the dynasty nerds podcast say: "Milroe has smaller hands than Kenny Pickett & the accuracy of Anthony Richardson, what could possibly go wrong?" 😂
