You know what, he is definitely taking over that role a little bit. For someone who wasn’t wanted by his old team, and then produced some of the shittest games to round out his year. He is playing a bit of that sloppy recruit when we were hoping for a senior head.

The reality is that there are going to be people who are pretty pissed off till we win games of footy.

I expect variations of the same critiques on all of the puff pieces that will no doubt get flooded with from November onwards.

Very true.

Couldn't care less what they do. They get a break and mental reset to go again. They all need a kick up the bum for finishing with 3 wins again and producing another disastrous season but this comes when they return.

We might see a different looking starting 22/23 next year.

The difference this year is that we went into our last off-season following ac win in the final round, loads of optimism and expectations that we'd turned the corner.

This year we ended with two huge, depressing defeats and a choke at home against the 16th placed team before that.

Lots of criticism and still there's unrealistic expectations, along with the thought that "surely, surely things have to improve NEXT year, don't they?"
