Tough as nails, reliable defender, reliable kick, and composed. I'd have him every day of the week over Houston.

A last line of Archer, Logue, Starcevich would be ridiculous!

LDU is a worry.

There was a lot of smoke at times mid year regarding Collingwood lining him up from 18+ months out with a mega offer which would have been somewhat timed and offset with the retirement of Pendles, Sidebottom and Howe.

Some of those fears were allayed with his comments in the second half of the year, but the fact of the matter is, he still hasn't signed on. This is all that really matters.

The cynic now thinks part of that may have been engineered by his manager, as the media around him was building. It's definitely bought him months of clean air and probably will do until the middle of next season.

Given Collingwood have no picks for another 2 drafts, the ageing list etc. They need someone to partner with Daicos for the medium term. They will go extremely hard at him.

Loyalty is the most overrated bit of trivia going around at the moment. His manager will get him to sign to the highest bidder & if we’re lucky we’ll get the final ‘dip’ at matching/beating other offers. I hope to f we can stamp him down before too long because the longer it lingers the more likely he is to leave.

Losing LDU will kill the growing momentum towards the goals this club wants to achieve.

Lock him away sooner than later, if he has a good year we’ll be feeling the pain later.

I don’t know if he has noticed but when this drags out, just like McKay, Zuurhar etc it just brings negativity around the club and the playing group with this weird unknown. I mean even his forward one two in Larkey didn’t know Zuurhar was going to re-sign.

I’m not saying this is Luke, but actions of the past, including Zuurhar’s shows a bit of ‘I am bigger than the club’

I’d say “LDU we need you to sign, this club needs you. Let’s front end a massive deal. However if the team is still bouncing along the bottom in 2 years time, we’ll trade you to a club of your choice as long as they give us enough draft/trade wise”

Wouldn’t we simply Match any Collingwood offer. If we don’t accept what they put up for trade he remains? Is that how it works?
