Maybe, although it's more interesting in that there is space for another midfielder. Makes me more interested in Peatling and Draper.

Of course he might just be getting out of the way for the glorious return of Mr Ballistic Matt Crouch.
Soligo and Rankine could also be beneficiaries of a Laird move down back.

Not sure if I’d have the cojones to start Laird though. I mean, he has SP form, but he fell off a bit of a cliff last season. Not sure if he was carrying a niggle, there was a role change, or he’s simply slowing down a tad.

13 100’s and 5 90’s is still pretty good I guess.

Laird training with the defenders.

Could it be? Could we see a renaissance of sorts?

Seems to be training the house down. Looks like he's picked up some pace too.

Add Rachele to that mix. Keeping a close eye on him as a breakout candidate.

Elijah Hewett was $254k this year, didn't play and looks to be rookie priced for 2025 🙃

Wish they would make it standard for all players.

Exactly, had him estimated at 180k after a 30% discount.
Instead he seems to have got 50%? Then the extra 3% nudge across the board.

If he's selected round 1 everyone will pick him, so they can't play that card.

Where'd you get these other price confirmations from?

Got Flynn or Lynch's prices handy?

High variance midpricer for the flex position

Someone like Shai Bolton but maybe a bit cheaper if possible

Maybe Charlie Curnow if he wasn’t missing a big chunk of the preseason with surgeries
Seems like a waste to me. When there’s already stuff all forwards, why would you take one in the flex? Just take them forward and get a mid / def / ruck who will no doubt score more.

It’s an opportunity to take a high risk high return player

Much less risk that in previous years

If they smash it you have the chance to get a clear break in those that played it safe

If they put up a very low score it may be covered by rest if your on field brigade

I might start with a safer flex option while I’ve still got lots of rookies, and then trade in a Bolton / Curnow type for the second half of the season (especially if one drops in price)

As the team picker was not available at 12:01am EST, and due to my numerous encounters with numerous Santas from numerous shopping centres over numerous decades, I am now fairly certain that Santa is not real.

Fairly certain.

Still makes no sense.

Why would you start Bolton as the flex and (just picking a random premo forward) pick Dylan Moore when you could start Bolton forward and put (again, picking a random mid) Clayton Oliver in the flex?
