Yeah, I’ve been thinking about Powell-Pepper at 180K . . .
Don't think SPP will be ready for round one.

He wants to play but the medicos will be conservative.

I've seen Gibcus in a few teams. I don't believe there is any chance he is in the round 1 team. Not currently doing any meaningful training and have heard the ACL recovery isn't going as well as some others who did it later than he did.
Buyer beware I guess.

This is what I have landed on, I will likely continue to tinker until I can get that flex position to another premo ruck. However, I don't mind the idea of using it for extra cash generation.

Sheezel, Bont, TDK and Rankine were straight in and likely won't leave my team.
Haven't optimised for Bye's yet as that's boring.

Only line not currently thrilled with is the mids as it feels light on.
Otherwise pretty happy with this draft.

So Coleman of the Kiddy persuasion, The Superior Tom Lynch, SPP and those types looking unlikely to start the year? Had whacked two of the in in my first crack just now, guess they can hokey pokey their way back out

Dog Hello GIF

Baz yes cheap plus dpp lock.
Jack huge inj risk ..Will have to p,e.g. well in PS games .
He's never been trust worthy in staying on the park ...
Yeah, he's the Anthony Morabito of Alex Johnsons into Sammy Naismtih.

Won't ever reach the heights predicted of him.

Seeing a lot of variety outside of fwds which is good. Maybe the odd Rankine pick or Macrae fader but otherwise theres not much to gain in this line. Perhaps if the F6 rookie is crap then people with a Rankine or someone can get an advantage there.

Rookies will sort themselves out but I am thinking the cash gen looks decent in the midfield. Jagga, Levi and Sid all were exception in the VFL/SANFL. Ed Allan was also really promising in the last round, and Sheldrick hopefully gets a chance under Cox, they clearly lack some edge in there. These guys should all be fieldable provided they look like they can avoid the vest which might be tough.

Bar Flynn no one really in the 200-400 range that isn't a fwd screams pick me but keeping an eye on Peatling, Windsor (moved to HB), Coleman, Cumming, McAullife and H.Garica.

In def I won't touch Flanders but hopefully early upgrade. Unsure on his CBAs. At another club with 80% CBAs I think he could push 125. First 2 picked are Sinclair and Sheezel, then Mills. Find other defenders hard to pick so looking at Jordan Clark who I think should produce similar with the best mid season bye, and then thinking Sicily at 532k. 98 Avg playing tall at times with a bung shoulder, think there should be 10-15 pts upside. If he goes fwd for extended periods then is what it is, but thnk it will be mostly back. Unsure if Kiddy will be ready, so leaving out for now. Hawli hopefully is fiedable and plays. Travaglia might be fighting Arie for a spot, hopefully he takes Bonners old role. Busslinger should be good if he plays.

Midfield is interesting, theres options in every price range at the upper end. I'll fade Bont with so many options available. Butters early fixture looks nice and looks like the C option for the first few rounds so would like him. No one else at 600+ interests me, maybe Serong but thats it. Like Brayshaw, did 117 in the back half and will never see a tag. LDU is also a reasonable price but have trust issues with him. Thought about Dawson but think he is better for DT and Nicks is a terrorist when it comes to settling on a midfield mix. Petracca another I like, only needs the 60% CBAs to score like in 2023. Out of the sub 500k players, probably like Oliver the most given he laboured last year for a 100 different reasons. Others in the range like Cerra and Ashcroft I don't think see max mid clock like Oliver. That being said if WAsh gets an uptick in CBAs I will pick him. I bet on him for disposals last year and it was a pain in the arse watching him come off HF all the time, some of his DT scores were really poor even in his last 5-6 game when he was peaking. Day also seems ok but at 500k + bye, would rather pay another 50 for Tracc.

Rucks for me I'll keep short. Only really considering Xerri, TDK, Flynn and Boyd if he plays. Probably run all 4. Xerri is so expensive but his 2nd half of the year was off the charts. Also having him gives stability in a line which has finished a few of my seasons. Flynn has done 85 twice and is priced at 60 so he is locked for me. He's an ordinary ruck but hes better than BJ Williams. Good article out there if you google about having a point to provide and being injury free atm. I'd post a screenshot of my team but the left wing moderators in other forums have shadow taken perms after i said "best 44b ever spent" in the Elon thread in Politics. Anyway this is what I'm running at the moment.

Sheez/Sinc/Clark/Sic/Mills +3 rooks
Butters/Brayshaw/Clarry + 7 rooks
Xerri/TDK+ 1 Rook
JHF/Macrae/Baz/Pou/Daniel + 3 rooks
Flynn

I don't have team picker, but think this is pretty close to the structure I'll be taking.

Flanders, Sheezel, ???, Mills, Rookies
Bont, ???, ???, Petracca, Rookies
Xerri, TDK, Boyd
JHF, Macrae, Smith, Phillipou, Daniel, Rookies
Flynn

Something like this is the structure I can see myself going with. Forwards pick themself although I’m not 100% sold on starting JHF as I don’t think he will ever get out of reach. Bont, Serong provide good captain options with the 3rd premo (Cripps) chopping and changing for me regularly.

Sinclair in theory should be a lock, fingers crossed he stays at half back. I’m also surprised there isn’t more Bailey Dale around here. Great value and no real competition for role
