No training houses down due to the cost of Sydney’s housing market Best we can hope for is training a upmarket garden shed down
Pretty sure they have been training Glamping tents down over the last few years. Hopefully Cox can steer them into less instagram worthy territory.

Today's McKirdy "TRACK WATCH": SWANS GET PHYSICAL AT TRAINING AS HINTS OF COX GAME PLAN EMERGE

Loved this: "New recruit Jesse Dattoli was also keen to make his presence felt, picking a battle with Taylor Adams and trying to get under his skin. While it was all in good nature and never crossed a line, it’s clear the Swans’ first draft pick has already made a strong impression in just a few weeks."

Today's players to watch: Angus Sheldrick, Indhi Kirk, Matt Roberts, Taylor Adams, Caiden Cleary

I love how the examples of physicality provided by McKirdy are:

Grundy, a ruckman, laying into McInerney, a wingman

Warner Jr. shrugging off one of our weaker tacklers (Lloyd)

And Blakey still getting caught taking the tackler (Fox) on

Not one of those shocks me in even the slightest LOL

I wonder if Lloyd could end up on thin ice. He has always been a pretty poor one-on-one defender. Not a lack of courage but skill and strength.
If Corey can show more on the tackle/pressure side he might do himself some good.

I think anyone who is not the number one or number two player in their role/position within the team should be training like they are on thin ice. Particularly if they're a flanker type.

I like the way the draftees appear to be approaching things with energy and confidence. Plenty of sweat and smiles. I wasn't crazy about the type of players we chose but the guys themselves look a great bunch. So far only Leidler seems a little quiet. Can't wait to see more of him.

Kudos to our media team for putting the draftees and young players on show so far, and not sequestering them just because some of them won't play senior footy next year. They have had a really good balance between showing the kids and the six players outside the first-to-fourth year group.

I haven't seen Will Edwards in any of the vids yet.

Does anybody know his status?

Good question, I had a look through the last 2 lots of training pics and couldn't see him.

Maybe still doing recovery on the ankle injury he got later in the season? Last update was: "Will is completing strength and conditioning work in line with his recovery program."

Jokes aside, I was impressed by Chad’s physicality in some of the clips.

Adams looked primed. And Sheldrick reportedly is training very strong.

Gonna be lots of competition for midfield minutes. They are going to need to earn it, which is great.

My early tip: Adams to play a major role. Sheldrick to also force his way in at times. Chad and Mills to play less midfield than they would have preferred.

Just found an IG account and there was a pic of Edwards from a recent session - maybe late last week?

Does anybody have any dates and times for the Bat & Ball Oval sessions?
They were there Monday morning. I got there at 10am and they were done by 10.30.

I think they would have done the skills stuff earlier in the morning. Because in the half hour I was there it was a lot of shuttle and boundary running. I think they must be managing the training loads. About half the squad were doing the full running and the rest were on the side doing lighter stuff like skills, bike or ropes.

They seemed to be tired at the end. They finished with laps of the boundary. But I think they faked them out by then making them all gather at the bottom of the hill as though they would be finishing off with sprints up that hill.

Robbie Fox and Corey Warner seem very fit and were going strong at the end. Roberts was a better endurance runner than I expected. Good signs to see Mills, Mcinerney and Sheldrick doing all the intensive running.
