Latest iteration. Went from 2.2m in the bank to a more classic lineup. Heath filling in for Harry Boyd. Not really sure on who the flex should be; Dawson and Ashcroft both with question marks. I think if I'm going to pay up for someone than both Serong and Sheezel are the best options on their respective lines. Will be fine with breaking Dawson and Ashcroft to pay for upgrades to Flynn and Coleman if need be.

Where’s the improvement coming from? More mid time? Will he be a top 10 defender?

It's predominantly just a vibe thing tbh, though he averaged mid 90s after being thrown into the midfield post-bye. Just think having a preseason training as a mid will make a big difference considering he's exclusively been with the backs since being drafted. Still think there's every chance he becomes the best player on our list within a year or two. Now will he be a top-six defender? Not sure (prob unlikely), but he'll improve. Then there's also the Goodwin factor, i.e. his undying adulation for the Petracca/Oliver/Viney combo.

No offence to @Scythe94 who's a gun at SC, but sometimes it's best to ignore posters on the teams they support as they can be too optimistic about their own players.

Wanted to fit JHF in somewhere but didn't really have the space in the FWD's or the MID's so he is the flex. Still of the opinion that I eventually want a premo ruck but this will do for now.
Got baited by the Rivers discussion, let's see if he stays in until the new year.

Already priced close to his max, about to turn 30, gun though. Not great value IMO. Probably another upgrade target, although St Kilda have a good early fixture.

He was already taking a lot of kick-in's. Might get a bump though, defo an option.

Dont have the stats infront of me, but feel like Sinclair’s scoring dropped last year when he played midfield for the middle 7 or 8 rounds. With Macrae coming in does he go back to pure DEF?

Sinclair imo is a lock for top 6 defender. Doesn’t miss games. Ultra consistent. Can go massive. Just think he’s a superstar.

Totally agree.......he's played 88 games in the last 4 yrs (without making finals) and in that time av 86(2021) 114,107 and 109......might be priced at his max but you know what you're getting, and he's DPP. He's my Flex until I can be persuaded otherwise.

Plenty here and I have him in a keeper league but he's never played a full season, but then again, neither has Xerri or Meek and they're my 2 atm...

Sinclair also has the very favourable R13 Bye

Walsh probably the most interesting one here for mine. Need all the gun mids not featuring in Opening Round that we can get.

I'm leaning towards skipping Ashcroft until his bye and copping the one price rise and having 5 $500k+ mids that don't play Opening Round so I can downgrade one to him to generate funds for other corrections.

There are 4 ruck options for me: Xerri, English, TDK and Meek. I think any combo is fine.

I reckon TDK will be rested at times, I think his body will not cope battling against seasoned big boys week in, week out. He'll average the most, but I have no doubt Pitto plays 5-10 games in 2025.
