Here's my latest iteration.

-Bolton has gone out. Looks like he's going to play predominantly as a small forward based off match-sim/training reports.
-Kerch has gone out. Played midfield in match-sim/training, which I don't like. I want him seagulling down back if I'm to pick him.
-Perryman has come in. He's training with the mids, looks like his wish of midfield time will come true.
-Cerra has come in. I think he's worth a punt at his price, especially with Walsh's injury news.
-Maric has come in. The news of him playing down back makes him really enticing, as there's lots of opportunity for kick/marks down back for the Eagles. I don't like Curtin at $160k (even though the Crows have a decent run of matches to start the year)

If we get enough good-lookin rookies that can't be ignored, my premo watchlist consists of Flanders, Sheezel, Bont and Butters, so maybe 1 or 2 of them will come in.

BTW I have Maric locked TF in at F5/6.

Kid is a better kick than every useless plodder on here. Hurn 2.0

Version 7

16k bank.

Three players i want to touch on...

Martin and Richards (my opinion) have it in them to shoot the lights out and go 115.

I read somewhere this week that Richards had no pre season with the mids and was thrust in there a month or so into the season. Can't wait to see what he can do now he's had time to adjust. A couple of games watching him this year i thought he looked a class above everyone on the field and was the difference.

As for Martin, i think he has it in him to overtake Merret as the bombers best player. Very bullish on him.

Steele will be helped with the Macrae inclusion. He's always had to carry the load and opposition tags being a one man midfield. Far to often opposition rucks will tap the ball anywhere but where he is and that's going to be harder to do with another heavy lifter in there. I think he can go 115-120.

Omitted Travaglia and Schoenmaker. Both will make the 150k cash gen but at their prices i am finding better options.

Of all the midfields I've seen, that's certainly one of them. ;)
I can hear all the pings from here!

Love the Perryman pick. Looking forward to seeing him in action.

Nice team, but round 3 might be an issue where you have 2 donuts in defence and all up 6 players missing that week. Round 12 will also see 6 players missing.

Round 3 is an issue, but it's almost innevitiable that one of those 4 either get injured or fail, so I can trade one. It's also best 18 scores, and with hardly any rookies on-field, it doesn't hurt as bad.

Round 12 is irrelevant. Never ever taken notice on the main byes with my starting side, the team will change drastically until then.

For a slightly different view to my awesome co Eagles supporter Here2tellyouwhy.

I've had Maric in and out of the side. Yes, they'll be using him as one of the outlets but I don't think he'll be the prime distributor like God of thunder thighs Hurn was.

He's a very good kick but he's not Hurn, Jetta, Houston , Sicily level. Nowhere near it.
In-fact, I thing Gov is the best kick in the side and especially down back.

He'll make money but I expect more 70's than 90's.

Also, for those that have Flynn, it's still early but he got hurt at training yesterday again.
He's injury prone and role not guaranteed....I'm a big risk taker and even I'm not starting him in Flex even though the side looks better when I do it.

I love my midpricers but even I have my limitations. You will either win $50k or finish in position 50k starting a team like that.

Thanks for the insights.

I don't think anybody is expecting 90s from Maric, 70s would be great. If he can be part of the kick/mark chains down back and take the occasional intercept mark, he could have a spike game or two and make $200k. Forward rookies are looking weak again.

Curtin/Hewett/Stone/Davidson I reckon
