FFS, I don't want to start him. This doesn't help.

Bont hunting that elusive Brownlow.
Absolutely robbed this year in voting. Cripps voting was a joke

Cripps was a worthy winner

Granted he over polled imho but certainly deserved to win.

Bont 1st picked in SC every year

The second player that I kept spotting was Kynan Brown. He was noticeable in the 2km run when he was second to Harry Sharp and he was crisp and evasive in all the drills, his only problem being a couple of errant bounces where he must have chosen some hard turf as the ball sprung back past him twice. I was bullish about Kynan last year when I felt he deserved a proper game (not 30 seconds off the bench as sub) and I am going to be even louder now. He looks ready and Werridee, it's time to amend your team (version 7656) and get him in.

Know he is worthy the amount of votes was a joke is all I’m saying

Horse is gone now at Sydney there could be some decent players getting a game now. Sheldrick?
Posted this in the 2025 pre-season thread, but may as well also put it here - Sheldrick, Cleary and Bice are the 3 to watch. Sheldrick is the main one - most likely to play and best role. Cleary reasonably likely to play, iffy role mainly as a small forward but maybe enough opportunities in the midfield for the occasional spike score. Not sure who Bice replaces, but was one of the best seagulls in the VFL this year.

Dattoli could be get early games, but would be almost exclusively playing as a small forward I suspect.

Harry Sharp (mid) and Jaxon Prior (def) both leaving Brisbane for opportunity.

Both 4 games @ 39SC last year so priced $215-220k minus any discount.

Sharp in the VFL 19 disposals, 6 marks 88AF over 10 games
Prior 24 diposals (20 kicks 😍 ) 7 marks 95 AF over 17 games

Could be better options than many of the high priced rookies next year?
Prior is a better option any of the expensive draft picks for sure if he is in the team in round 1 IMO.

i dont think starting the top priced mid has ever been a winning play. you could get bont for 120k~ less than starting price during upgrade season this year for example.

id rather go for guys who are a bit cheaper and have upside to beat price. i think tom green is the perfect example of this, has the scope to be an 120+ mid and priced significantly below that. i can see others will be attracted to dawson in a similar vein.

i think rozee is a bait pick but others might disagree using the thought process i have for green and dawson.

not really rookie talk this..... i think travaglia has the scope to be the best of the higher priced rookies. will be off half back, bonner is gone and depending on sinclairs mid split will get a lot of opportunity for scoring if he plays early.

+1.

Jagga/Draper/Ashcroft all :padlock:

Lindsay a wait & see
Just Draper for mine. Ashcroft role/opportunity a big worry, can he score well enough playing half forward?

Jagga role too how much mid time will he get?

TBH I'm not even locking in Draper, Nicks is a moron, wouldn't put it past him to park Draper forward, or as sub.
