This is the obvious solution, assuming Boyd is a goer. Reckon Flynn will be b22 if fit though.

West Coast play the late game on the Sunday Round 1 what's the bet they name both Flynn & Williams on the Thursday

Not that any of us will question the age of our free horse, but I can absolutely see a world where Boyd plays 1 or 2 games and is never heard from again...

On this subject, the Crows "break glass in emergency" Ruckman Strachan ....dominates the SANFL ...yet when called upon last year to play AFL, was absolutely gassed late in Qtrs ...struggled to get to contests

I've heard the same whispers with Boyd .....he's not AFL Ruckman fit ....and has struggled a bit getting contest to contest

I wouldn't be putting too much faith in Boyd as a regular

As long as Marshall is out for the first 3-4 weeks then I think Boyd would be best in the Flex position and take it from there.

Even if Harry bangs out the first 3 game 95-100’s which is totally possible he will put on about $100 k. Coming from
such a low base. The bloke can ruck.

He'll be able to generate the same $100K from my R3 bench

AFL WA reporter Nathan Schmook stated a few days ago that Bailey Williams is currently the annointed numero uno ruckman so I'm going a bit cold on Flynn, especially as a flex.

Harry Boyd could be an option but is in competition with 204cm Max Heath who was apparently impressive for StKilda in match sim the other day.

The practice games will give us some better clarity.

If your onfield rookies that you pay more $ for don’t return quick 100’s and hold their places better than Boyd
its bleeding weekly points.
Boyd @ flex, Two ruck premo’s and a R/F doughnut @ R3 opens up the fwd line for looping which I like.
On that, I get not many will play a doughnut this year and rely on bye players
but I like to have control on my doughnut all year. To miss a 200 VC because of a poor loop setup would frustrate me .

Boyd is so cheap he'll keep making money even if they play him with Roma for a while. There is no debate if he's named R1, you can't risk missing his cash.

ROB made over $350k when he got a go, anyone missing that cash was ****ed that year.

It's only an issue for round 1. Bye players are the best loops anyway and can be used R2-4. I would expect to trade Boyd out to a R/F donut at any point from there anyway.

True, if it solidly looks like Boyd and Flynn are playing I’m in for both .
Really thought Flynn would be overtaking BJW by this time though.

Last track report I read Flynn and BJW were swapping. I guess we'll see. The worry is, as Dusty mentioned above, if they are both named as WC vs GC is the last game of the round. In that case we'll have to make a decision without being sure.

You really know how to hurt a guy .

He is from my home club and I owned him 2018 and swore off him for 2019.
Didn’t start or trade him in through being stubborn and finished 664 for the year.

Yeah guess I was royally ****ed.

I guess if we want to take the safe option you could correct to Boyd in R3, but a playing rookie ruck is SC gold.

IF he plays !

Where do you go, price wise, if the experiment fails ......Boyd's not a walk up start

Personally I plan on panicking.

Realistically, if you are going to downgrade him to a non playing DPP he needs only 2 or 3 price rises to make good money.

Can he play 4 or 5 games in a row? Playing well would help for sure, but I don't see why they would sign him only to play a different ruck.
