Adelaide fold to the demand despite having a contracted player and begrudgingly make the trade.”So it’s most likely they’d match, but it doesn’t happen because of the aesthetics….
My take is it’s extremely rare that a club will match despite the threat that they will/could.
They chat behind the scenes and ask if they’d match and they say yes, because the compo isn’t enough. They say fair enough and work out a trade instead of going through the rest of it.
