"Tyson starred in his first outing in the royal blue and white stripes, collecting 26 disposals, 6 clearances and 7 tackles.

Tyson partnered with Ahern to become the side’s key extractors, winning the contested ball while also impacting the game on the outside."

Heath, I imagine, thinks he's going to be more impactful trolling BF than posting on it.

In so doing, however, he's provided the perfect platform for me to get on my Isuzu sponsored "Impact soapbox" which, I gather mods will allow me to take with me to every single thread on this site. Quite frankly, I'm sick of the impact-signalling coming from the club's Media, Communications & Marketing Department. It has not been shown to make the slightest positive impact, whatsoever, on the readability of North media articles. The political bias in favour of impact as a verb has gone beyond a joke. I'm sick of my club being made into someone else's grammar plaything.

Where’re you going with this? Who cares about grammar if you’re not understood?

From what I saw in the 2 JLT games he’s a great centre clearance player, has clean hands, manages to read the taps well and will be a perfect foil for Cunners. His kicking can be shaky at times though, and speed isn’t his strength. Time will tell but I think another elite clearance worker is what we needed.

Hopefully he can shark some of Gawn's taps when we play Melbourne. Goldy should be able to hold his own against most others, although you never know who might step up this year.

Pretty much.

I saw summaries of him being 'meh' in the post mortum of JLT 2 and I just sat there scratching my head. He's anything but meh he doesn't need to star in your midfield he's the reliable centre clearance player and thats all he needs to be. He's a perfect combo with Cunners and I can't wait to see how they play together.

If he's flying under the radar for most well then he must be doing something right.

Judge him once he plays alongside Cunners. Will be a different beast when he isn't one of the sole focus' of the opposition
I completely agree, im middle aged, slightly over weight, balding and I believe I’d still get a few cheap possessions playing along side Cunners.

He’ll be a great pick up.

Balding? Means you are coming into your prime, Cunners wasn't any good until he started losing the hair. Ablett when up a level once his hairline receded!

I still can't believe we got this bloke for Preuss.......and he's still only 25.

If Bailey is the steal of the draft, then this bloke will be the steal of the trade period.

He signed with the VFL side this year. He loves playing with us at whatever level.

Howdy ferball.

Mid-season rookie draft (date to be confirmed)

  • Should AFL clubs have a list spot available or one is created through a player being placed on the inactive list, they will be able to add a player to their rookie list and select players based on reverse ladder order at a mid-season date to be specified.
  • To be eligible, players must re-nominate for the mid-season rookie draft.
  • Clubs have first rights to re-contract their drafted player or he becomes a delisted free agent.

We've told him he's got a spot.

Not a great game from Dom but he's not alone there. He wouldn't be in the bottom half dozen on the field.

He definitely wasn't the problem today but like 3/4 of the team needs to lift.

He played in a midfield that was pantsed. He is 100% the problem today.
