Are you comparing the former players to the latter as individuals, or just purely in terms of how you rate them?

It appears to be attribute based, that's why I brought in Cotchin as a comparison.
He leads by action, inside player, big voice on the field, silky skills, good footy brain.

Bennell is the one that interests me.

Seems to have a mixture of inside/outside skills - Which is a rare set.

Will be interested to see how he handles getting tagged.

If I was coach and he was being tagged, straight to full forward he would go.

Interesting call.

I can imagine having the smarts to snag a goal or two, in the forward line.

He kicked 6 I think for a WA championship game, also he had a 25 goal 18 point season just gone, more then most of GC forwards. Watch the game he had 38 poss 4 goals, he just knows how to kick a goal.

More in the sense that the completely freaky stuff that Hird did and Fyfe does puts them ahead of the Rolls Royce midfielders.

um.... a bit more talk about this guy and his sick dancing skills thanks

I think the appropriate word for what's going on here is 'musing'

There's not much else to talk about really.

Although I did see dyson and Kate in Safeway last week, and didn't she look fantastic

not sure where all this fyfe talk came from. he has potential to be an amazing player, no doubt. has played some great games, but consistency has been an issue for him, and at this stage of his career, is quite overrated by some people. but i can certainly see the hird comparisions. lets see how he goes with a full preseason and injury free year. could be a breakout one for him.

anyhoo, love heppell. seems to be improving at an exponential rate. even though last year didn't seem to have the bells and whistles of the year before, i thought it was more impressive, as he played under more pressure and expectation.

seems to have built his body up nicely, and hopefully we will see more of him in the midfield this year.

That's what we've been asking from you guys in the "Board Review" thread.

Fair enough. I don't tend to bother to comment with things like that unless they really irritate me (usually I just ignore most threads on this board when they are like this).

Possibly has more to do with the quality of posters and their age and lack of knowledge / maturity (which for some is more than transparent in their posting).

Pardon the intrusion, but ill have this weekends lotto numbers please!?

Was the 1 of 2 players that I just knew would be elite from that draft (Swallow the other). I am still amazed he slipped through to pick 8, there are a few clubs ahead that would be wondering why they didn't pick Dyson. Elite half back flankers/midfielders are gold these days- as Hawthorn have shown with a few, as Geelong have shown. Dyson Heppell is perfect for modern football.

LOL I suck at Lotto...I am bad enough with horses!
