Off to the bar we all go for a quick couple before taking our seats and it just wouldn't digest with me so I had to reach into my wallet pull out $6 and say "Here go and get Heppell ". There's been plenty of talk on here about Heppell being our next captain which I have always thought to be premature.

Well a fortnight into our time without Watson and I'm now firmly onboard. This bloke his captain stamped all over himself. He is leading from the front on field, he is the one who was leading the on-field pow wow before going in at half time, he just needs a decent ****ing haircut.

When was there ever a debate?

I'll admit that I am concerned about the balance of our midfield and that something will have to give but it isn't going to be our 22 year old driving force.

While I would take Atley in a heart beat to add some explosiveness into our game surely the only people who would suggest that Conca and Atley are anything but miles behind Heppell would be the most one eyed Richmond and North supporters.

I agree Bennell hasn't produced the consistency of the others but this is a guy who kicked 6 and had 25+ only a couple of weeks ago and is a genuine explosive match winner.

I don't doubt the consistency and volume of output puts Heppell and Prestia ahead but Bennell's gotta be in the conversation. I know it's taken Swallow a while but he's starting to catch up too.

His best is just as good as the other 2's, but is just simply too up and down to be considered in the same class
