Dyson is highly respected by everyone in the footy club.
He is not the only player who thinks he has more to offer than he does.
It would be the essendon thing to do to win next week in his last game.

No the most Essendon thing to do would be to win in his 'farewell' game and then backtrack and offer him two years.

Right decision and he was given the right to make that call as he should be.

Thanks Dyson, stuck at the club when plenty didn’t. Injuries curtailed a pretty impressive start to a career. Heppell was a leader that didn’t have much support around him. Time to celebrate him not can him.

A good time to call it, apart from his last couple games had a solid year.
