Just needs a bit more campaigner he could be the lance franklin we have been searching for since we missed the one hiding behind Tambling. He is probably the scariest looking thing physics wise since Franklin - not the thing you want hurtling towards you at 20kmph.


Very rare to find a guy of that weight and size who can move so quickly, think he would be wasted as a defender the way the modern game is played. Let him roam the field and play forward will
Be way more damaging.

Just keep playing him even when Riewoldt returns. Pump games into him and then lookout next year and beyond. But I think in the offseason we need to decide on a position. I like the mobile ruck/ rest forward option.

Nobody believes he is 194cm any longer, The commentators were talking about this for a while and all mentioned that he looks taller than that

Anyways, I can't agree with developing Balta as a defender. Not one bit.

Grimes and Astbury will be around for another 3-5 years. Garthwaite looks the goods too. Broad is going nowhere. Up forward Jack will be finished soon and Lynch will need help.

Purely on a needs basis Balta is playing right we he should be. Balta is the perfect modern day forward/ruck who is basically an extra tall midfielder in the middle. No other rucks can keep up with him.

Balta striding through the middle and blasting 60m bombs into F50 > everything else.

Absolutely, l would have him in the centre.....can you imagine him runing through at 80khm and then bombing it 60 mtrs to the goal square. It's terror on the oppo defenders.

Lol people get annoyed when players and coaches are robotic. Then they get annoyed when they show a bit of personality.

I’m pretty sure Dimma was referring to his own future at Richmond instead of Balta’s and I’m also pretty sure he was just making a joke.

5 years is a long time in footy and Dimma’s contract runs out in 2 or 3 years and there’s no guarantee he’ll be at Richmond in 5.
