I disagree with people who thinks it’s not a big deal him missing games because it’s a nothing year …. I don’t want to finish last 2 seasons in a row and him not being available could absolutely cost us a win if miller or blight are getting towelled up without him. It’s really disappointing news

I agree he’s pivotal to us being competitive unless miller and blight can really stand up . Week one they got McKay and curnow as a litmus test

Aight, been watching this thread and biting my tongue. But can’t hold out much more from having my say. Obviously there is a lot of legal water to go under the bridge, so I will only say what is factual and wont cast any stones myself

The bloke who was hit was the one trying to defuse the fight/situation . Contrary to what a lot of people want to believe here, Noah was the last one in to what was to this point a non violent (albeit volatile) situation. The bloke who got hit copped a decent but not huge head gash (from a king hit from behind while standing trying to defuse a fight from happening), a concussion and in my opinion, the worst of all, fractured ribs from where he was kicked multiple times while he was on the ground.

I wont go into who, what started the initial confrontation because what I know about that is only speculation. But Noah was not part of it, nor was the bloke he hit.

I don’t expect everyone to take what I am saying as gospel. After all it is only an internet forum. I’m sure the truth will all come out closer to/after 30th Jan. Maybe the footage will even find its way out. But before slurring on the guy that was hit, please consider that just because Noah is a ‘hero’ in a lot of your eyes, does not mean he is immune to making a bad mistake like a lot of young, drunk blokes do. And remember, when casting your opinions or guessing what happened, the ‘flog’, ‘loser’, ‘campaigner’ that got hit is a human too.

Correct from what the locals have told me this is spot on but I wasn't there so can only go on hearsay. As for the truth it never does or will come out. This people know there in the public eye and get told over and over don't put yourselves in situations like this. I know they are young and things can turn in a second hence the message.

This is a great opportunity for the array of new young KPPs at RFC to get an early taste. Give them a game each over the first month!

keep in mind that Balta played 19 games of the worst season of all time for RFC last year.

So Balta gets 4 weeks & Marlion nil despite a lifetime of priors, being charged with worse crimes & having "pedo's" as accomplices

Doesn't make much sense to me.

My faith in the club being able to turn it around is pretty much gone already. Still a attitude and discipline issue.
A month ago i said Balta is our most important player & the club desperately needed to sneak a early win to not start feeling the pressure of possibly going winless otherwise the season will get very ugly. So of course Balta gets himself suspended for off-field shit for the first month. ****ing diabolical.

To go into the season with 3 of our best "prime" players quitting on the club, also without Dusty who clearly just "gave up" mid-season & now Balta, who just got signed to a monster 7 year contract getting himself suspended by the same people who gave him that contract ( one that set him up for life) - I think the culture and discipline atm must be about as bad as it gets. And the "ready now" playing list is even worse.

Going into 2025 vs 2024 the club will be missing

The backline was already going to be struggling with Young out for experienced KPDs - now they will rely completely on Miller, Brown, Blight & being literally throwing shit against the wall hoping it sticks with Kosi & a Gibcus who has played 2 games in 2 seasons due to serious injury. I think people would not get so agitated about things like this if they accepted the simple fact that the players in the afl are a reflection of society.
Just like society young people get into trouble. Just like society people have different ways of dealing with people who invade their personal space if that is indeed the case here.

Maybe Noah simply lashed out having lost a bit of control after a few beers after yet another loud mouth had a crack just like in society if having a bad you can lash out.

Give it time we will all find out what happened when he goes to court and we can make an informed judgement then.

Yeah i messed his age up with his contract ie 27 - 7 year contract.

Point is - he if definitely old enough to know and do better. He isn't a 20 year old taking a wee wee while at a music festival was my point. He is entering his 8th yeah of AFL footy with a contract that puts him in the top 10% of existing contracts in the AFL.

Balta has done absolutely nothing to deserve a 7yr contract. The club is a stuffen mess. The rot set in when Balme was sidelined and Livingstone promoted.

Balta’s pathetic fitness levels after 8 preseasons are an embarrassment for all concerned
