AFLW 2024 - Round 9 - Indigenous Round - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
At this stage I'm still going to prioritise best to (or close) available for position.
In this parallel universe, we will draft this player at 18 and with Pavlich/Selwood/Harvey setting standards, he will likely break out into an elite player before he was even drafted in reality.
The Westside Pavlovas select Tom Stewart.
Right near the top of the tree for a 6 year period in terms of intercepting and rebounding. In the modern game those areas are absolutely critical, with scores off turnovers often dictating a team's success.
More recently Stewart's proven he can move into midfield and have Hodge-like impact too, so has the versatility that I'm looking for covered. He would play a similar role in this team to what Hodge did for Hawthorn throughout his career.
5x AA at half back in a 6 year period speaks for itself - Stewart kept some very slow Geelong defences competitive during the contending years. In malfunctioning sides he can look a little haywire at times, but we don't plan on having one of those. He will repel attacks, lead the defence and execute slingshot moves to our stars ahead of the ball.

So far.
But did he really truly deserve all of those 5 x AA's?At this stage I'm still going to prioritise best to (or close) available for position.

I cant believe he lasted so long this is an amazing pick.At this stage I'm still going to prioritise best to (or close) available for position.

HF: M.Pavlich

How things are shaping up so far. Three of these players can slot into multiple positions (I want some killer rotation possibilities), with Selwood the one 100% locked into a single position (centreman).
His last final against Collingwood he was best on ground. But did he really truly deserve all of those 5 x AA's?
That's all part of our grand plan....You guys always pick quickly while I'm at work, when I'm home, it goes slow.
I want my next pick from home, where all my notes are please.
In fact looking through the stats the only time that a Collingwood forward kicked more than 3 goals in a game against Tom Stewart was when he got knocked out in 2019 first round and 2021 final. The rest of the time (2017) he has had over 20 possesions every game and no player has kicked more than 2 goals in a game from Collingwood,His last final against Collingwood he was best on ground.

Let me know if there's anything wrong with the order but you should be able to copy and paste this Guardian Hawk to the pinned.
I disagree but fair play to youJust got home and started this so thanks a lot! (it's way too hard to do on the phone). Really appreciate it but I will bew able to maintain it a little more going (as I'm working from home rather than in the office - still busy but at least noone can see me going to BigFooty mid-meeting )
Think I'll just paste the next round or so at a time so we don't have to scroll through 374 spaces on every page if that's ok.
I think you wait until the end and add the final sides. Also suggested I would add the teams to the OP as well. Originally thought every 3 rounds but I think 5 might be better. Will it be too long to add to the top of to every page?
Should I just add it to page 1? or not at all?
Happy to be guided by consensus.
