Strong mark and kick and looks like he belongs. He appears 'soft' but does not pull out of contests - cannot understand Scott putting Larkey in the ruck instead of Durd's but there you go.

A skilled player at 198cm' s- surely he plays firsts from here.

Gut feel is because pulling a key defender into the ruck means having one less key defender if you lose the centre clearance. That's a risk most coaches won't take.

Nice game from Durds. I'm sure the drop in class from the opposition helped a bit. Going from GWS & Sydney to * is like a Group 1 to country maiden, but it should kick start him now.

i really dont know how the rising star stuff creates so much interest anyway, consistency trumps a spike performance hands down.
