Re: 27. Jason Laycock

I`m hard pressed to think of another Essendon footballer that plays or has played with near enough to zero confidence. I`m very happy he`s signed for another two, I know the boy has got it in him, simple fact is the supporters are not helping his cause.
Encouragement needed people.

I've tryed with him since the day he debuted. gave up about round 10 this year. too many crucial mistakes.

THE ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

Player profile
Standing at an imposing 201cm, weighing 103kg and possessing a big leap, booming kick and good agility, Jason Laycock has the tools to cause headaches for opposition players. Despite a very limited pre-season, due to a foot injury, Laycock will be looking to step-up his performances in the ruck and attack in 2009 to assist David Hille and deliver on his potential. At 24-years of age and with 58 games to his name, he will be looking to find some consistency in season 2009 after falling away at different stages last year.

In brief

I'm from the apple isle, and once again, will make you smile ;)

Re: 27. Jason Laycock

It would be fair to say this year is his last chance, he had a couple of good games last year but overall was terrible...yet again, and with the rise of bellchambers he would want to improve and quick!

Re: 27. Jason Laycock

He's quite clearly the second best ruckman on the list.

Yep.

We should get behind him, might do his confidence a world of good.

Last year very early in a game, a kick went to his direction and I heard someone say his going to **** it before he had even touched the ball, that shit pisses me off, let's get behind our lads.

At the moment Bellchambers should be getting a game. But we all know that Laycock is very much capable of stealing that off him and consistently performing.

We know last year the majority of supporters crap lead to him doubting himself and left him wondering why he was there. So I for sure will be getting behind him and hoping he stands up and demands that second ruck spot.

He does, he's a better footballer.

Not directed at you but I hope fellow Bomber fans wait for more than 1 little mistake from him next year before they jump back on the bandwagon.

Re: 27. Jason Laycock

does anyone know how laycock is going with his injury and when he's gonna be back?

Coming along slowly. At the moment he's honouring his contract and getting to know the boundary line very well, as it meanders around Windy Hill.

Re: 27. Jason Laycock

If I was him I'd be wanting to come back very soon with Hille out for the season. Any updates on when he might be back or is it a season ending injury?

Re: 27. Jason Laycock

In true Laycock fashion when the time comes that we need him the most he can't get on the park.

The kid probably wants to get out there more than you could ever imagine. He'll be hungry to show that he's needed, after Ryder's heroics, and just for the fact that there's nothing like an enforced layoff to let you know what you're missing. I know his critics will need hard evidence, but petty potshots about something beyond his control that's probably driving him absolutely crazy don't really ring true with being a supporter.

And if it's a joke -- LOL. LOL LOL LOL.
