“Kayne” could be the ‘safe word’ when pain is at its highest ?
Unfortunately I got a littlie cocky last night (pardon the pun). You see Zelda is into some very kink stuff, so I thought okay lets see how kinky she can get. So I said to her "I want to try something really kinky, but I don't think you would be into it". She said "Honey I have been in this business long enough, there is nothing that would make me feel uncomfortable. I have heard it all before". So walked up to her and whispered in her ear "I want us watch the replay of the Melbourne v North Melbourne game last night". The look on her face said it all. "She told me GTFO of my dungeon and don't return. How sick do you think I am".

I honestly thought he would have a decent season because he looked alright in the practice match and first few games. Now? There's really not much else I could say.

No more . Please , just no more . He brings nothing . I’d prefer we give Spicer the rest of the year to show us that he’s worth keeping on the list because we know that Turner is not the future .
Not a high hurdle to meet. If spicer can get 7 possessions, lay a tackle and kick a goal, he'd be ahead of Turner.

Wasn’t Logue yelling at Goldy last week , we don’t tolerate yelling Mr Logue.

I think that shows a lack of respect and a decent umpire would award a free against team mates . I mean I would.

Makes sense I say !

That was always optimistic. In all honesty I think they should have stuck with the delisting personally but there is nothing fundamentally wrong with him getting a sliver of another chance - the issue is in not treating a rookie listed lifeline player as an inherently replaceable component of the senior team. The min he dropped away another should have come in (after Rd 3). It's not his fault we keep playing this guy, but it's also the reason IMO he should have been left delisted.

I'd have thought the sole purpose of bringing him back was some form of leadership at VFL level. It's an indictment that he is brought in at AFL level.

Leadership, training, development and a break glass option are all fine reasons. Nobody could seriously argue that another, younger more viable long term option couldn't have been tasked with a defensive forward role (even if that wasn't their natural or long term position). I hate commenting on these things too much because it's ultimately not fair on the player who is - from the outside in - doing everything within their capabilities.

I've been on the bandwagon for quite a few years now that there is nothing wrong with having a bloke like Kayne rounding out the list - it's just when you have too many of them and especially too many in your starting lineup that it gets ugly very quickly. Anyway, selection will tell a story about this team next weekend - I suspect things will start moving a bit faster now.

Logue call him in? If he did and he didn’t listen, thats droppable on its own.

In that play, any average AFL player would know he has to go. If Turner is waiting to be called in, he's clueless.

He peaked in pre-season and sucked some of us in (e.g. me) that the early career promise might yet be fulfilled. But very quickly he has gone back to being the no talent, no football IQ liability that he's been since his second season. Only he gets even less involved in the play these days (which I previously didn't think was possible).

Please Clarko, do the bleeding obvious.

I’d rather see a player go and be told off for going when he should stay. No courage, pea heart, timid, insipid and it’s exactly what our boys are right now. Soft as ****ing shit. Go hard

he has his limitations but being timid deffo aint one of them, that was just a blatant case of lack of awareness, and its not unusual with kayno being a relatively vanilla player.

Gee somehow the Kayne Turner thread got worse.

Genuinely interested - has anyone actually said this

There was a preseason event thing I went to maybe 5 or 6 years ago with our very own Cam Joyces and a few other assistants in attendance.
Anyway part of it included splitting up into groups and picking mock round 1 teams, I happened to be in a group that included Joyce and for the most part he just kind of sat back and offered little input, but when the discussion turned to KT and his place in the side he piped up and stated in his most serious tone "he is first picked every week mate".

So yeah, not an exaggeration to say that coaches really do love him.
