100% This - It's embarrassing the way the club (Goodwin) continues to drive standards and be unapologetic about our culture and then all this comes out (most of us knew something of the sort was going on) Goodwin, Smith, Oliver and the team who came up with "Demon spirit" can all get in the bin!

The truth is apart from Lever and a handful of fringe players the club has no one outside of Gawn or Viney with any leadership qualities. Hopefully one of our younger guys like JVR or whoever we end up drafting can be groomed into the role because otherwise we're headed for a leadership cliff.

I like Viney. The captaincy was initially stripped off him because he was way too hard on teammates for not being up to the standard as what he was.

In other words he upset players that couldn't handle his direct leadership style.

Go figure, and sums up our culture and playing group.

It's hard to say with the young guys, especially when they aren't really in the spotlight and you don't hear them speak. Only reason I mentioned JVR is because I've seen a few interviews with him and he seems very confident and comfortable in his own skin. Could be something to work with but it's going to take a few years before we really know.

I think Goodys to blame. You had guys like Kent kicking 4 bounce running goals under Roos. Under goody were ******* robotic. Hate watching us often

We've been horrible since 2019. I still think 17 and 18 was pretty fun. I think we never recovered from such a cooked 19 and haven't played with any dare since with the exception of the finals in 21 and a few games here and there.
