Well i'm hoping that's the choice he'll make. Just saying so people don't worry about freo snagging himCool.
But i like it better when Jeff is pushing for him towards the Dees.

Very much heard this too, about his career at both clubs and how he's remembered at both sides.Farmer is more Melbourne than Freo, I remember him wearing a Melbourne jumper over at subi watching us play Freo.
just wondering what he and Mitch Hannans job security is like? Cheers

Looks well and truly up to it.
How long does a dislocated shoulder put you out for?
Depends if he needs a reco or whether they just strap him up and try and get him to the end of the season
Just strapping it he's probably back in 3
Reco he could miss the season like Ablett
Long enough for someone to grab his spot . Bad luck for Smith but he showed enough to suggest he has a future with us.Looks well and truly up to it.

Ablett is a bad example as he went about his rehab in a counter-productive way. His religion doesn't allow him to take anti-inflammatorys.
Goodwin did say it would put him out for a while though.
Yeah so he couldn't play through any pain which smith might do if they don't think it needs a reco
The poor guy ... the game will be far poorer for being without him ... for 2 weeks.Guys please save your sympathy for Nick Reiwoldt, we all know he was the only significant injury to come out of that game #prayfornick
Worst pain threshold in VFL/AFL history. The poor guy ... the game will be far poorer for being without him ... for 2 weeks.
At least he got carted off (literally, lol) to the rooms so no one could see the waterworks ... this time.Worst pain threshold in VFL/AFL history.
He only just held it in.At least he got carted off (literally, lol) to the rooms so no one could see the waterworks ... this time.
The concern is though even after a reco it is generally weaker ie Billy Slater. It looked totally innocuous too.Glad they're going the safe option with Joel. Generally speaking, once the shoulder has found its way out once, it's infinitely easier for it to do it again, and it will exercise its right to do so regularly with little coaxing unless you get it fixed. Going without surgery probably would have seen him wind up there eventually anyway.
