Got a feeling the Bolton trade will go down to the last hour. Don't think he'll be on our list next year but who knows? The word is Freo approached him mid year so all this going home thing ain't the full story. If Freo want him bad enough and why wouldn't they, they will stump up picks 10 & 11.

He's objectively worth at least 10 and 11, as simple as that. Anything less than that isn't a serious offer and that's how we're treating it. Freo need to be ****ing realistic and just do it.

Did Freo cave when trading for Jackson or does anyone remember what happened there?

Had a look, most Freo fans wanted to give up their 1st rounder (pick 13) and a future second round pick.

Most Melbourne fans wanted 2 first rounders, with one being earlier.


Final trade was pick 13 and Fremantle future 1st & future 2nd with a couple of junk picks sent back to Freo (44 & 67), so most Freo fans felt they paid overs and most melbourne fans felt they got unders.

Interesting enough Freo met with Jackson mid-year while he was still contracted to convince him to come back to WA, so Freo have a bit of a thing meeting with contracted players to get them to come back to WA.

Richmond quite rightly are happy to facilitate a trade...BUT....are doing what's best for the club too. That is not corrupt.....at all.

I reckon picks 10 + 18 is fair and reasonable in my opinion. Anything more is a bonus. By adding 10 + 18 to Richmond's already bag of high draft picks.....it would be a good outcome.
