I guess if everyone walks away a little unhappy then it is probably a fair deal.
I am disappointed it was not a straight 10,11 for Shai. Freo have to be under salary cap pressure and we could have sweetened the deal by taking on half his contract for say first 3 years.

Shit deal. If they were happy with Baker and Bolton for their picks then why did we through an extra F3 into the mix next year? That F3 will be more valuable next year since the points end at the third round.

*Pick 37 next year is more valuable since there are 25% less points paying draft picks on offer.

Nah it’s a compromise we wanted 10,11 they wanted 10,18 for Bolton

We essentially gave Bolton + Baker + a future 3rd for 10,11, 18 in a super draft that we can now make a play for pick 2 with.

These are two players that didn’t even want to play with us anymore.

It’s a massive win.

I would have thought that Bolton and 14 alone would be enough for the 3 picks. We compromise and accept the 11 and 18 for Bolton if the Dockers slide back 4 places in the draft and do 10 for 14.

Have to factor in that 10 and 11 will go back 2 or 3 spots. Basically the draft watchers have stated it is in tiers:

Tier 1 - top 6 plus Ashcroft
Tier 2 - Top 15
Tier 3 - Top 25 - considered comparable to normal top 10 tier

I heard from Freo supporters it was fake news with the 10,11,18 for Bolton and Baker trade.
