That's not 100% true
You done? Got it all out of your system?

My post was unfortunately 50% typo, "not sub" was what i meant to write. As in, not starting as the sub, becuase you for some reason need clarification on that given it was posted BEFORE the game started.

So before you continue dissecting wills game with the greatest of depth of "he got this many possessions" and that's it, take note of what is actually true

How many disposals in the second quarter for him.

I did like his second quarter had some good moments. Liked his intent when up against 3 dogs and managed to get the ball over the line.

Still a very long way to go and still feel he should go elsewhere.

Couldn’t keep up in transition. But neither could Sheeze, LDU, Powell and Kerch. That is our Rolls Royce midfield right there.

I thought the only reason we didn’t get thrashed is because our forwards were working bloody hard to affect pressure and Scott and FOS worked bloody hard to float back and push forward.

11 disposals and subbed out of the game. Cmon mate, be real.

11 touches, 4 clearances, 91% disposal efficiency, 3 score involvements, 3 tackles, 12 pressure acts, in 49% time on ground.

Compare to LDU, who in 86% time on ground had the same amount of tackles, only 1 more clearance, only 1 more pressure act, and 9 total more disposals.

There's no point arguing facts with you because you ignore reality, but in the time Phillips was on the ground he was undeniably good.

Calling his performance good is generous. Had a few good moments.

So good he was subbed. You don't win games with mids that don't touch it, cant spread and can't run a game out. It's year five mate, when do the excuses run out?

Isn’t going to get his tank up to scratch if they keep managing his minutes so heavily. He was covering the ground fine in the 3rd quarter when he had that run down tackle on the forward flank, then shortly after he got subbed. Seemingly on the shit list.
Wouldn't get a game at any other club. It's embarrassing having a midfielder coming off an uninterrupted pre season in his fifth year that can barely run out a half.

Agree, can’t really say he can’t run out games when he’s never given the chance.

Would love to know what he’s missing, Tucker coming on gave us nothing match up wise, that I could tell, no defence run and he lost a few crucial 1:1’s that led to goals.

I don't think his subbing was anything to do with his tank. He just wasn't busy enough.

Had some good moments and I'd drop a couple other better players ahead of him based on effort alone, but he just didn't do enough to demand that midfield spot.

Every time he plays there’s more and more evidence that he just isn’t quite good enough.

He's been given chances, the stats are in here. He fades hard in last halves. Watch the pre season game against west coast. Unbelievable that we're playing a midfielder that cant run out a game, we have much better options. We need to move on.

Looks like you're the lone ranger defending him this time.
