Good call. He can get there. And his hb is a point of difference. If colby goes in to cba and we get another elite mid, who will do the distributing. The balance is important.

Simpkin apparently...excellent by foot, elite vision when kicking.

Have to admit, Will is on the Dow trajectory and l hope with a successive preseason, the can rebuild his tank plus belief and start to push Simpkin from his spot...if not he's at least accepting he is a role player now.

When you think of that Hawks midfield, Sewell might be the last name mentioned, but he did so much grunt work that allowed others to shine. Wonderful player, and wasn’t a sniping prick like Hodge or Lewis.

Once they are at Arden Street it doesn't really matter what pick they were. You would hope a pick 3 turns into an absolute gun, but you make the best of what you've got. If that's being a role player, then so be it.

I don't think those that have concerns for Will's future with North are concerning themselves with the drfat number he was taken. It isn't relevant or shouldn't be.

And if it is, why stop there. Maybe's, could ave's, should ave's if only. Our team could look like this.

That's as much a player issue as its a club conditioning and training issue right?

What does the club want him to become?

If there is no clear direction, we might as well delist him because if we are to trade him, we won't get anything more than a 3rd round pick and that's just insulting.

Duursma played entire match for <10 possesions.

You would expect forwards to get at least 10, most small/medium forwards that is.

Daicos for a half, Treloar had 22 and 2 goals and he can't follow the player if they go forward or back. He's not a tagger.

It took benny jacobs 2 years to become a regular tagger so 5 games are hardly enough.

Taggers can tag a variety of opponents so if those get negated moves position, that counts as a huge win.

It's the club who pull the trigger too early, it's the club letting him down.

Regardless, every team will need unnamed foot soldiers like that of anderson, rock, freeborn from the 96 flag team and phillips is the perfect candidate to emulate those type.

I’d give him another year.

Keep in him as a defensive mid / tagger.

We’ve carried plenty of blokes and even recently given contracts to players, that are worse.
