Rewarding bairstow for not looking and being god of when it’s a dead ball would be dumb asThe thing that finally swayed me with the Bairstow wicket was he never looked back. If he had done so he would have clearly seen the ball was still live and in play.
Sure as s**t if he was looking backwards and seen Carey keep and instantly throw the ball at the stumps he would have grounded his bat uncontroversially, end of the over or otherwise.
