Stokes played an awesome knock.

But with 70 odd and plenty of time would he not have been better to prod it around more , the field was back, they had the game swung their way. Why keep trying to slog

A couple of bad eggs.
When the team came back out, the Members in the Long Room gave them extra applause.
I am sure the vast majority would be appalled by the behaviour of a couple of manchild halfwits.

Yeah fair play the MCC seem to have done what they can to get on top of it pretty quickly

Yeah they were getting close to the point where actually taking some of those singles would have really made a difference and put the blowtorch on the Aussies.

Actual scenes of Bairstow's face when he realised he was run out.

Not in the spirit of the game. It was end of the over, Bairstow planted his foot then was strolling to talk to Stokes.
Never planted anything and immediately walked off and Carey immediately let go of it. Unsurprised to see you being a goose about it though.

Don’t forget:
  • Having the physio run on at Cardiff 2009 to stall for a draw
  • Resting fast bowlers whenever they wanted to get gun fielders on the ground
  • Cooking the pitch at The Oval into a dustbowl when they needed a result to win the series

Their sanctimony is hilarious.
I agree --- it is hialrious as well as nauseating --- and your examples add to the steaming turd-pile of Pommie cheating.

I saw footage this morning of Bairstow trying to run out/stump Labuschagne in the same manner ie batsman out of his crease, throw at the stumps by keeper, but Bairstow's throw missed.
Good enough for Bairstow to attempt, but not good enough when he's on the receiving end.

From crickets moral guardian after he was caught at first slip and didnt walk…even though he admitted he hit it…

“Ahead of the fifth Test at The Oval, which starts on Wednesday, Broad says England have developed a ruthless streak.

"We've been accused of all sorts, but those things aren't remembered - it's winning the series that will be remembered," he said.

"We do have a win-at-all-costs mentality. I think we're quite an unpleasant team to play against at the moment.

"Teams won't play against us and enjoy the experience. That's what we want."

Again, no one has an issue with stumpings in general. They have an issue with stumping someone who was only out of their ground on the assumption the ball was dead. Marnus was out of his ground to attempt to play a shot. Whether you have an issue with Bairstow's dismissal or not it's a completely different situation.
Marnus left the ball?? He certainly wasn't "playing a shot" it was exactly the same except Marnus had some more brain cells to realise the ball wasn't dead yet and Baristow missed the stumps because he's a shit keeper

He was lucky we dropped 2 chances while he was batting as well.

Is that a typo? Whinge-at-all-costs mentality I assume Broad bean meant

Don't let this win mask our shithouse bowling tactics to Ben Stokes. We should've easily won that game but dumbass bowling tactics allowed Stokes to prosper. If you're going to bowl it short, at least do it outside off stump where he can't hit boundaries, likely to get frustrated & play a rash shot. We kept bowling it into his arc so he could slog 6s & 4s.

Yep. Anything short was getting the treatment.

This must have come up already, but Jonny tried to get Marn out the exact same way Carey did, but of course he missed by plenty haha

It has, but its still funny every time I see him miss by 10 metres lol
