HS has a few little flaws, but when you sit back, he's our best player and a legit shot at being a top 10 player in the comp for a very, very long time.
In the next 12 months I would like to see him insert the forward craft that he was drafted for into his game. That will only happen when we can rely on Powell and McKercher in the middle and Sheeze can establish himself as a 60/40 mid-forward.

Having Jy possibly finding form in the middle also helps.

If we keep pick 1 then we take Sid or O’Sullivan.

Let them develop with LDU, Warlord, Colby, Powell and Jy, whilst Sheez can play the Jimmy Tird type role.. plays back when we’re under attack, plays forward when we need a spark and plays midfield whenever he wants..

What are his flaws

Lack of pace is the only one I can come up with.

I want to be clear that I think he's outstanding and the best young player to come through the club in a very long time. And every player has flaws, obviously.

He is a bit timid. In the same way Daicos is. He can cough it up quickly pre contact or lift his head on a ground ball.
He occasionally calls the footy in bad spots. The second one is fine with me, given who he plays with.

That's it, really.

Fair enough. I don’t find him timid at all.

I’d have him above

Wells
Boomer
LDU

In terms of toughness.

He’s no wardlaw, cunners or JZ I’ll grant you that

Wells was hard a cat’s head when he was flying as an inside mid.

In saying that, Sheeze is still building to 100% possible strength. He does, however, apply himself defensively to an exemplary standard.

Agree with Harvey and LDU. Not Wells.

Anyway, every player has stuff they can improve. Sheezel has less stuff to improve than just about any kid his age Ive seen wear the jumper.

Not saying wells was soft by any means

Same age though well’s averaged 1.9 tackles a game to sheezel’s 3.8

Wells developed an edge when OP slowed him up slightly, but agree that early he was slight and on par with HS.

HS isn't soft. At all. He is calculated, like Daicos. And he could work on securing the footy a bit more and accepting the tackle, again, like Daicos. And frankly, you don't want blokes like that diving head first into oncoming pressure anyway.

He's also become an absolute clearance monster and contested best. Has the most contested possessions in the league and a ridiculous 40 clearances in his last three games. He's a complete freak of nature when you add all that to the fact he's also very quick.
I don't think he's a traditional contested beast. Its his speed, agility and ability to read the play that make him good at clearances.

I'd tell George to be aware of him and as early as possible nail him if he gets the chance. Then every time he's running for a loose ball run flat out at it and be in his vision. I'd count on Daicos short stepping him every time. For someone who racks up so many clearances and cps he doesn't seem to like actual physical contact.

Not so much tagging as running with him/going head to head at stoppages.

That's a weird one. Wells was very committed defensively early on, in a defensively minded team.

Would put the disparity down to different eras and maybe team balance rather than Harry being twice the tackler. Not that you were extrapolating that.

As long as you’re happy. That’s all that matters.

Daicos is such a good mover and is so good at reading the play that no one generally can catch him.

Yeah true but George is even more insane than Jed was in terms of chasing people down. He actually jumped over an Eagles player to tackle a different one yesterday.

Reminded me a little of this one last year:

He has that ability to think a few steps ahead, so he goes into a contest already knowing how he's going to win it and come out with the footy.
Harry has that ability only few do. Clean at his heals at full pace and deliver on a platter. Hary is Diamond call Uber.. we haven’t seen a lot yet, he is nice at hitting the goal too

George on NDaicos at stoppage.

Pup on NDaicos in general play.

Scott to try and blanket J.Daicos.
Despite Nick's talent and the stuff you mentioned about his run and IQ, I prefer Josh as a player. He just seems more honest and less of a squib. You can't deny his talent and I like watching him cos he is a genuinely great player and just opens the game up ... but every now and then he does stuff and I'm like:

WTF!!! You gutless campaigner!!! You just stopped.

And yelling at the screen cos its jarringly bad.

Obviously the other stuff makes up for it cos its so bad. From a team pov I can see why winning 10+ clearances a game easily is worth losing one or two cos of those ... squib efforts lets be honest. If he gets cleaned up at 1/4 time and misses the next week as well, it kind of costs the side more than one soft effort in terms of scoring opportunities vs chances for the opposition to score

... but its not a good look.
