good effort by the big fella on the weekend i thought, hanging for the day we develop a sound forward structure so he can showcase his talents

in the mean time its just great to see him stringing some games together - 7 in a row! must be some sort of record;)

What great news! Pleased to know, especially given the arrival of GC and GWS, that we've got a player of such integrity. Gumbleton's number is a strong candidate for my jumper :D

Also good to know the young guys have such faith in Knights :thumbsu:

no probs guys. There was once a point where he looked like a real chance coming back to WA, because he was injured all the time, frustrated and wasnt enjoying it. But now, although early days, he seems to be enjoying footy life at the bombers now that he is stringing games togeth and having an impact. Even his old lady said he will (and has been) better through confidence- he is very much a confidence player. Just hope the body can hold up, hes a nice bloke, always have a chat to him when he comes over on the off season.

Playing him as a permanent FF would be a massive waste of one of his main attributes (endurance).

His goal where he got on the end of one in the goal square at the Lloyd end on Sunday was a great example of this.

The play started on the wing, with Watson winning a contest.
A contest that Gumby was involved in, he ran 100m+ to get on the end of that ball after he'd led up to the wing from CHF in the first place.

It was Riewoldt-esque.

Terrific word! Let's keep a lid on it though so in five years we can start bandying around 'Gumbyesque' instead.

Please don't tell me he loves Le Arse as well. That would really take the [strike]****[/strike] cake.
Jobe's twitter:

  1. my unnamed housemate continues to be pantless, dateless and desperate. he refers to these days as saturday. 7:45 PM Feb 19th via PockeTwit
  2. my unnamed housemate continues to refuse to wear pants and came downstairs in only a pirate hat yesterday 10:27 PM Feb 18th via PockeTwit

Ha-ha priceless. I hope when Jobe said "only a pirate hat", he didn't mean only a pirate hat.

Yeah, that warmed the cockles!

not that it matters, but it's clearly larking about... who hasn't shared a household with other males in their 20's & hasn't had funny shit like that going on?

Just keeps improving and improving.

I love that Jobe and Gumby live together. He's clearly taken the young star under his wing, even when you look back to 2008 when Gumby broken down; Jobe was the one consoling him right from the start.

For a player of such importance to our future, it's good to know that he's got the captain just down the hallway, so to speak.

I have heard rumours about Jobe, and:
a) it wouldn't surprise me
b) I couldn't care less. I'd have more time for a homosexual man with his head screwed on than a womanising prick with no respect for women.

You must have some pretty ordinary rumour sources.

Jobe's been going out with a very attractive girl, Ella, for some time.

As for Gumby's alleged behaviour, I lived in college at Uni and that doesn't sound half as bad as what some of the country boys got up to there.

Gumbleton will 100% re-sign with Essendon if he already hasn't. As someone stated before, Essendon have been super to him, by showing patience, faith and perseverance throughout his lengthy spells on the sidelines and the least he could do is re-sign on the dotted line.
