He was excellent yesterday and I thought he was one of the top 3 or 4 on the ground. A couple of howlers early but competes hard and reads the ball exceptionally well. He also had 10 contested possessions which was only second to Parish and to put it into context it was more than Merrett had and the same as Shiel and McGrath combined

Has only played 30 senior games, but I think he is getting better every time I see him. With more experience and confidence he will keep improving and hopefully stop being every second persons whipping boy.

When reid is ready to go, and this is unfair cos he's battled when we needed him, laverde either has to make way or find another role.

Think it will be hayes that eventually challenges zerk.
