That’s bloody impressive from the kid and to think he already covered the ground pretty well last year.
You can just tell he had the drive to be great, we haven’t had many come through the door with that mindset from day 1

That’s very impressive. And 6:16 is a pretty elite time isn’t it?

It would have put him alongside Angus Clarke (who was equal 3rd in the 2024 combine results), so yes it's very good.

FWIW: Nik Cox was 6:05 (4th) in 2020, Perkins 6:23 (equal 10th).

Anything under about 6:30 is very good, 6:00 or under you don't necessarily see every combine.

Remember aswell they run the combine on a track, caddy did it on grass as he mentioned. His time would be faster on track.

That just means cox is better at running away from the ball.

At the end of the day it is the repeat efforts that matter in a game.

Elite 2k times are irrelevant if you can't back it up late in a game.
He’s already got the repeat efforts down pat, if you watch him live his ability to get back forward after being deep in defense is incredible, he makes other guys look lazy.
For me this isn’t about the time he ran, it’s about his willingness to put in the effort to get better. To wipe 30 seconds off your best is good, to then wipe another 20 seconds off a few weeks later is bloody impressive.

FWIW I think he is the real deal!!

you're the kind of support it sucks to have to sit next to
You should try sitting next to "Carrots".

One time, in about '09-10, he squeezed his sauce too hard and it squirted out all over my arm, and he carried on eating his customary 2 x Four'n Twenties washed down with a bourbon and coke just as if nothing had happened.

I initially thought the first part of your sentence was a euphemism, now that really would be bad supporter etiquette!

I did that to Peter Knights at Waverley Park in 1995. I also did not apologise

Please don't get my hopes up considering our track record of developing stars since 2000.

My all-time favourite non-Bomber.
I was at one of his first games against us.

Everyone in the crowd was in awe of this young blond kid who outrun everyone all day. Looked like the other players were standing still.
