Trainor, Gibcus and Brown all are hugely talented interceptors and all beautiful users.

This is the 3 the backline will be built around.

Balta will be there to hold down the monsters and when there’s no mosnters to hold he can swing up fwd or ruck.
I am quietly confident about Blight

This guy is serious about making it as a AFL player
Size , Tank & Marking is exceptional, and he is bloody determined

Closing speed is a made up phenomenon. As if any player magically gets faster 5 metres before the ball arrives.
Yeah it’s more about footy iq and reading the ball drop in order to peel off his man and try and win the ball themselves or play defensively and stay goal side of his opponent

Blight made some great spoils from behind against Harry McKay. I don't see it as a concern.

Blight's main issue is that if he doesn't take the mark he is out of the contest. Whilst he is a good mark he is not reliable and dropped a couple of sitters leading to easy goals out the back. He has a fair way to go yet.

Early days yet, he'll learn quick enough...

He will quickly learn how big the step up is from the WAFL. He marked everything in the VFL, which is a step up on the WAFL. I think it was more nerves than anything. He is certainly not the type to die wondering.

I have a good feeling about him.

In Trainor i think we have a taller Grimes. Kid is very good on the ground and in time unlike Grimes has genuine kpp height and it might take a few years he should bulk enough to permanently play kpd.

To start him at senior level just play him as third tall for a season or two.
Talent wise Balta and Gibcus are our key defenders long term.
With Gibcus coming off a knee then id say Blight has the front running to partner Balta in the early games.
I think the question will be does Trainor or Miller play third tall to start the year.

The three talls all highly rated with Brown who imo could be Broads replacement long term.
Smith has all the needed attributes to replace Rioli and then some. Then only missing piece is Vlastuin's long term replacement. Id like a Vlastuin clone just with a bit more pace though.

You think Smith can reach D. Rioli’s level?

Yep, he’s the player I was most happy with drafting. IF he can avoid concussions issues, he will be a star
I was wrapped. Fist pumped like a champ

Smith started wing in the VFL and moved half back when Hugo got elevated. Smith isn't the sprinter Rioli is. Hugo or banks, maybe MRJ provide that. Smith is a traditional small defender. Yze wants that, then Smith plays.

Kaleb runs the 20m sprint in 2.88 seconds. Rioli tested at 2.89 seconds.

Kaleb is one of the fastest on the list.

I like Trainor's passion and he looks like he has it in the genes to a degree.

Like others I am not putting restrictions on him but I do not want him to get head knocks.

I think he will be good in a number of positions so whatever works best for him and us I am happy. The longer he plays the better for him and us
