Not going to lie, didn't like the pick on first reaction but when I saw how he reacted to getting picked by us and his emotional interview I was instantly sold.

I trust the club.

To be honest the emotional interview was not reassuring to me. The sheer relief and mental anxiety of it was written all over his face and in his voice. Was it just the demons inside his head or were there brutally frank conversations which we don't know about where 'retirement' was actively discussed?

I am 100 percent on team Trainor now, and I pray he has a long and successful career. But again the concerns I had about selecting him were if anything increased by that interview. Regarding Trainor (unlike all our other recruits) I will hope for the best but will expect the worst.

Yep, agreed. Kids got all the talent in the world but I fear we rolled the dice knowing that he maybe forced into an early retirement. Ultimately, we take the risk and weighed up that pick 21 is a fair pick considering such risk.

Did you see the video of when Luke was picked I do not think his concussion is football related its domestic violence
he got absolutely mugged by his friends and family on the video.

Great to see his enthusiasm and sure he would have had the injuries on the back of his mind pardon the pun and fears he could have been looked over

but I can tell you this kid is going to be one loyal grandson of a gun for the Mighty Tigers with the faith we have shown in him.

Vlastuin who fearlessly goes for his marks and interceptions has had some issues with milder concussions apart from Dangerfield clocking him in the GF. I am tipping he will be the man to give him some advice and techniques to minimize the risk.

Pursued by Sydney is a good sign. Great recruiting team there. Tells me he’s ok concussion wise and a very good prospect

Really excited with this pick. Was spoken about as a top 5-10 pick for a lot of the season

Depends how they happened
Concussion can happen to anyone, it's when they happen from innocuous hits that there's a concern for playing at AFL level

Or like when Pucovski concussed himself grounding his bat. Some blokes are just susceptible to concussion. Hopefully Luke is not. I dare say we think he isnt, or we wouldn't have used a 1st rounder on him.
