dont know much about him but he looks really good. moves well, great ball use and takes the game on. could be a real weapon running off half back. with his agility and aerobic capabilities and a good pre season I can see him playing next season.

But we are only talking abou pick 61.By him being a complete dud like most of Rogers picks
Burst speed is very useful if you can use it well. Some players may have been quicker than Yarran but his burst was amazing. Armfield has caught Dangerfield a few times but probably wouldn't get him out of a packAFL useless stat number 1001, testing for 5 metre sprint lol

Burst speed is crucial these days with the ridiculous speed that game is played at along with reaction times.

December kid who was one of the best at the combine. Love that it wasn't just the athletic stuff too, top 10 in the kicking test and looks like he has a good long left foot kick. If he was born a month later doubt he goes in the 60s in next years draft

Welcome Tom.
Not exactly shabby test results.
A bottom age, athletic, nice height left-footed, defender/midfielder.
Can't complain.
I don't think he was that prolific, but he definitely had games where he pushed past the 20 possession mark. Plays role first, then bolts off to receive.Tested amazingly well at the combine in pretty much every test. Precision ball use. Dedicated/hard worker according to his coach. Leadership qualities. Now you say he is a prolific ball winner (alleviating the one fear I had with his selection as many athletes lack game sense). How the heck did he not go pick 1?
As Lace_Out said, the technology is highly affordable, and the AFL have ties with the AIS.I just don't think 5 metres can be accurately measured when u'd be talking in thousandths of a second unless you have Olympic type technology which I highly doubt they have.
10 metres I could understand
Maybe I just have visions of some fat dude with a stop watch in his hand

He'd have had more midfield time and perhaps shown off his fantastic physical abilities even more. We shouldn't rush him at allTerrific point.
This kid is well worth the punt with pick 61. Next year will be a complete development year and will be keen to see how he's going towards the back end of the season.

Yeah, well, the extreme logical conclusion of looking at it like that is you pick the slowest, most clueless player in the draft and hope for the best......our last steal of the draft didn't go so well.
Yeah I'd love it if that's how the first half of his season was spent. Would rather him dominate in midfield there first rather than get junk minutes and stats in the senior VFL in a pocket somewhere. Those combine results and limited highlight footage have me most excited about him of our whole draft groupExactly.
He'll probably play development league VFL for the majority of next year I would say. All things considered, the kid is a very exciting prospect.
My burst speed to the fridge is incredulous.
My reaction time is special as well - caught the packet of frozen pies as they slid from the top shelf in the freezer before they hit the tiles.
The even spread of this draft suggests to me that all 18 clubs will be claiming to have the 'steal of the 2016 draft' for the next ten years. I'm yet to see a club's fanbase going feral over their selections. Is it possible we got the top 2 steals of the draft with Williamson and Kerr?
