What I loved about him (apart from his composure, clean handling, disposal, smarts etc.) was his running and busting a gut just to be an option for the kicker. He was demanding the ball on a couple of occasions. Really happy to see that. This kid will be a gun

He made himself dangerous. That's what you want to see in first gamers, shows they feel like they belong.

400 acre hobby farm?

Geez 400 acres is more than a hobby farm!

and Mont Albert? Isnt that where St James lived during his sabbatical in France?

Was seriously good on debut. Faded out as the game progressed but he looked really comfortable out there despite the trying conditions.

Has a great left boot - want to see how he goes under the roof at Etihad. Could be real weapon for us coming out of the backline.

Long way to go but that's about as much as we could have hoped for from him. Looks to have a real future.

Did fade out, however came back into it in the last quarter.

Loved his little double back sort of thing when Stanton was closing him down, quick agile movement which created enough time for him to pin point Curnow. Although Ed didn't mark it, it happen right in front of me and I became moist...also he set up really well as our whole defence did behind the ball...he's got some real tricks with that kick, movement, hope he becomes a wingman/outside mid eventually.

Picked up an errant handpass that was behind him with ease, in one hand, in extreme rain, in the last quarter.

I need to see that again.

Watch the clean take at the 2.40 mark of the first quarter.
Surprised no-one has mentioned that take, he collected from Simpson. Brilliant and confident.

Maybe someone cares to do a GIF of it.

The way he runs with a lot of head movement reminds me of Bower (except he doesn't seem to run himself into trouble and go around in circles)

Hahaha...I though bower was more emu like lol...don't worry this boy has a lot better decision making under pressure.

His first couple of possessions did result in turnovers so he needs to work on his decision making. In time he will learn not to kick to Thomas.;)

I have no worries about this one. His highlights looked great but they never show the lowlights. What we saw would suggest he is just about be the best kick in the team.

Sorry if anyone else has made this comparison, but I reckon he looked and moved a lot like Karl Norman. Similar sort of build and such.
