Footy's a wet weather sport and some years you might barely get 5-6 games without at least dew, we need to see if Ryan can compete well enough in both the roles he's having a crack at, wet or dry and give him the chance to learn from senior exposure in all weather conditions.

I thought he was perfectly acceptable today given how wet the 2nd half became, he's actually exceeding my (admittedly quite low) expectations in the ruck more often than not. Bottom line is, with Nank carrying an issue that could easily worsen mid-game, we need the closest available thing we have to a genuine ruck playing.

Tom Lynch - 250 games nearly 500 goals top draft pick
Jumarra U hagan - #1 draft pick and $500k a year player
Rory Lobb $750k a year with 200 games
Aaron Naughton - Superstar of the comp

Apart fron Naughtons 3 goals (with assistance from the umps)

Which KPF had a good game ?

10 hitouts
7 disposals
1 goal
1 tackle
73% game time

He’s unlucky in that three of his four games have been in the slop.
‘the one dry day he kicks three.
I like the SR...but gee picking him for his third game in the wet...genius Dimma and MC...it ought to have been Miller playing...
SR is not completely ready for the rigors of AFL...still a learning/growing pup...needs better days to shine and for his confidence to grow!

My daughter was not ready to drive , But i had to let her learn and be there to suffer the pain

kinda similar but different
but same same but different

Well with both the McCartins going down with concussion

He should be more than capable of having it on a platter with the swans defence

do they have any tall defenders ?

Their choices are probably the shoulderless flyer 195cm Nick Blakey, the 194cm Lewis Melican, and 193cm Aaron Francis. They would have had to go 18 men in d50 again to stop T-bone Lynch if he was playing.

I'm not gonna bother watching the replay of this pathetic game.... But I'll be fu@ked if Samson didn't spill 4 or 5 gettable chestmarks unopposed!!!! Clearly he's putrid unless conditions are perfect.... Maybe to suit the little rubber chested petal we can hope to swap our home ground to Telstra Dome so he can actually get a kick. FMD play Biggie, Bauer, Bradtke, Miller, hell anybody got McBeans number???
or maybe he is just a person who has played just 4 or 5 games of AFL? lol

Actually he's probably played 100 games all up not to mention training sessions and kick to kick. Hell when I was a kid we probably played kick to kick half hour before school, all recess and all lunch. Local footballers get crucified by their mates for dropping chest marks. Blokes who couldn't take simple chest marks were generally the ones we picked last.

samson ryan is about to get that string of games in a row that jayden post couldn't get

This lad can play. Will show his promise more in the dry than wet but i am bullish on him.
Sorry to intrude, but have a strong interest in the progress of Samson. He played at Sherwood in QAFL with my son. He has shown remarkable improvement over the last couple of years. He is not getting pushed under the ball as he was in the past and is holding his position. He still needs to improve field positioning, but if they play him in ruck it will a great education at AFL level. Still think he will be best as a forward, but will be a honest ruckman.
